  • Bryce's 120 GX

Hi all I brought this in August 2014 with 105000 on the clock and it was in stock condition with the upgrade of 7 seats. I brought it as me my wife and two and a half kids are taking off on a 10 week adventure whilst my wife is on maternity leave so that means we will be traveling with a ten year old a two year old and a six week old baby (wish us luck). We are from western victoria and we will be traveling up the center and across to the west Coast via the Gibb River Road down to the bottom and across the South coast. So all my mods I am have done so far and the ones in the pipe line reflect this trip.

    So here we go.

    So far I have completed:

    TJM T13 outback bullbar
    Warn 10000 Tabor Winch
Korr LED light bar (top of bullbar mounted)
    Lightforce Genisis lights
Redarc dual sensing isolator with 105 amp supercharge Marine battery
and 4 B&S wire to the back to a fuse box.
    Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform

In the shed waiting to be done:

BF Goodrich all terrains maybe the new KO2s if they get released before we head off otherwise the old Kos will do

ARB CKMA12 air compressor to be mounted in bullbar next to winch (I will add photos once I'm done I have made the mounting plate but I have to get some breather hose and fittings to run up into engine bay and a dust cap for the outlet)

    Diff, transfer and gearbox breathers.
I'm having trouble locating the gearbox breather(manual gearbox) I have pulled the center consol out and have located the top of the gearbox but there is no breather there I have read on the the diff breather thread that it is located here but it's not on my car but puzzled as I followed the transfer case breather back and found it connected to a 'Y' piece and one part of the y piece goes back to behind the gearbox but not to were it is said to be in the diff breather thread so I'm wondering if this is the actual gearbox breather as well. I'll take some photos when I go to do the job.

    Safari Snorkle.

Rear drawers stacked on top of each other

    100 liter Eva Kool fridge

    Rear door table

Recovery points from AMTS when they are finished being made

UHF not sure yet on model but it will be a hidden mount with all controls on hand held

And some recovery gear got some bits and pieces but I will gather more before we leave.

There is more I'm sure but I'll keep you posted.

    Cheers Bryce.

Well I installed my ARB on board air compressor today, was going to mount it under bonnet but wanted to keep that spot free incase I need an extra battery. So I made up a plate out of 6mm steel and drilled three holes in it to line up with three existing bolts that held the winch cradle to the bullbar and four smaller holes which I copied off the mounting plate that is supplied with the air compressor for the bolts for the air compressor and installed it in my bullbar beside my winch. Come up a treat just need to extend the air intake up into the engine bay (I will do that when I do my diff breathers) Been stumped on finding a dust cover to fit the air outlet as its 35mm and tapers out to 45mm but ended up finding a scupper plug off my old Hobie Kayak which fitted perfect. It's easy to access and I don't have to pop the bonnet to plug the air hose into it as it can be done via the access hole to the winch.

Well been busy over the last couple of weeks fitted the snorkel, installed one of my recovery points will do the other soon put the fridge slide and fridge in and fitted up the rear awning. Also made my rear drawers as well was going to make a rear door table but ended up carpeting a bit of ply that sits in the top of the bottom drawer works a treat and all ready for this week end.
