HAHA! Finally got the ToyotaLink working.
Fickle thing, this ToyotaLink. I'd have Bluetooth on and the ToyotaLink app running on my Sony Xperia, but when I touch the 'Weather' button on the Prado's touchsreen, it will ask to turn on the Toyotalink App. Eh?
This would happen so many times.

So one day, car off. Phone off. Turned phone back on. ToyotaLink on. Car on.

Not part of a build, but really made my day seeing it work after so many fails.

        Scangauged

Transferred over my ScangaugeII from my other car into the Prado behind the steering wheel like most people.

I've set one gauge to MAP at the moment.
The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) reading is a combination of boost + atmospheric pressure. All I need to do is subtract idle psi to get boost psi.

For people who want xGauge to show atmospheric pressure corrected boost, here's a link to adjust:

Mine was like that too Early and did similar thing and everything was good for a while then same issue. Have to force shutdown ToyotaLink and re start to make it work. That works ok for a time or too then stops again. Dont even bother anymore, just put it down to a crap app or crap MFD and use weatherzone on phone

Installation of headlight and bonnet protectors were very straightforward. The only fiddly part of the install was when taking the front bonnet 'girdle' trim off because of the two sided tape securing the rubber trim at the corners.

Took the spare wheel cover off now that the new rim arrived, and found something living there.

Spare wheel rim changed over. Pity it will go under the wheel cover again, looks good being on display

Nice wheels, my vote it leave it off and show off that wheel. You can remove the plastic backing too if you want, it's only held on by 4 10mm headed screws and traps dirt and crap against the paint on the back of the door.

Love the black wheels on white, good choice. Re BB's not fitting the face lift, I picked the TJM T3 for this very reason

Will take the black plastic off tomorrow for a look as you mentioned AA. The mrs is worried about sun damage on the spare wheel and does not want to tempt other people to steal it, which is a fair point. But jeez it makes the Prado look that one step tougher.

The T3, T13 and the AFN is probably the pick of bullbars out there on the market. Still, something doesn't look right - like there's some negative space below the headlight...really can't place my finger on it

The lock nut will stop theft, do a 5 wheel rotation and don't worry about the sun damage, all will be good

I know what you mean with the bar, it does look not quite right under the headlights, can't put my finger on it either. I have the T13 and I'm happy with it, to me a bar was necessary before any outback travel.

Each to their own but I reckon the TJM bars follow the shape perfectly and looks grouse. ARB's don't look as nice. The choice was a no brainer for me no matter how many bars I looked at.

I picked up the Tanami directly from the manufacturing factory as there were a few spare wedgetail blanks floating around.
It is a one-off trial design. The TJM Airtec is an updated one piece version of this.

Have read your posts with interest and enjoying the photos - your Prado is looking really really good.
Thanks for the tip on the nudge bar ( https://www.ecb.com.au/vehicle.php?M...SEARCH2=SEARCH ) I think I will be getting one of those also. Was looking at the genuine one, but these look much more solid.

Saw your other post about the automatic headlights lights on as daytime running lights. This also is bugging me. I would much prefer independent DRLs and "normal" style headlights / parkers. Have you had any joy in disabling / altering?

Thanks buddy, my GX has had a busy time having bits added on. Now it's almost GXL spec
The ECB nudgebar feels the most solid and shaped just right. Other brands feel somewhat flimsy or don't have supportive mounting.

RE the daytime running lights, I haven't had time to fiddle with it much, but there was a mentioned they're controlled by the ECU so any alteration to the headlight wiring loom won't work. Will have to spend some more time scratching my head over this.
