120 GX prado
3 litre common rail turbo diesel
5 speed auto
192k on the clock
ice cold air con
standard 180 litre fuel tank


its got fitted

new ARB deluxe winch bar
dual battery
full roof rack
snorkle
4 brand new tyres

Its had what ever its needed to get done to it by previous owner.


Injectors and seals done
200k service
other maintanence

Good thing about it

as its a GX and not a GXL, it doesnt have any electronic aids that hinder my 4wding. No ABS, no traction control, No stability control

Bad thing

cracked dash board ( toyota warranty on this )
no cruise control (been orederd already)

What am I doing to it

New side steps with scrub bars ( sitting under the boat )
winch
lockers
awning
Cruise control
sus lift
plus more

What have I done to it

Picked up the scrub bars and side step today.

Later tonight is the big night.

Im picking up my new beast

Will be great to see some pics of the new rig.

Word of advice too - check over the dash with a fine tooth comb for any cracks. If you find any, submit an out of warranty claim with Toyota ASAP as they currently have a 10yr limit on such a claim, and yours is a 2006 so you might just be lucky!

Air con thermo fan, mine doesnt have one. Should it ??

How do I clean the dust out inside the dash

And I do have the cracked dash. Meeting up with toyota on thursday.

I mentioned that Ive just bought the car and want to know if all the recalls have been done. The dash is the only recall left

Hey Red, that's a nice Prado you got there!

Got a little question regarding your TJM Side Steps. Did you already install them? I'm interested in some good pics, since my steps are on their way in a container somewhere over the seas. Would be nice to see what they look like on your Prado.

Hi

I'm taking the car in on Thursday to get the dash. Their is a few cracks, some quite long.

The lady said that the recall is for sticky dash.



RE side steps.

I've taken the out the box for a quick look.

Still sitting under the boat at the moment.

Got my awning fitted

Weather shields on

Started with the side step and scrub bars.

Egr blanking plate arrived today aswell as my cruise control module

The install instructions are really simple. Im not even looking at them half the time.

I havent finished this side yet nor have I started the other side.

I can post pics for instructions, but not worth it. Its really simple
