Looks good mate, I'm in the middle of a build as well- I'd be interested to see what drawer system you've got in mind. Like you, I'd like to remove the back seats, but the thing holding my up at the minute is the sheer cost of buying a good set- To me 2K seems way too much to ask for what they are. I'd love to hear your thoughts on those Maxxis tyres as well, I've heard good things. Also looks like we'll be putting our lift kits in at a similar time (picking mine up this week) so it'd be cool to compare pics etc. Looking foward to seeing how it turns out.

I was going to have a look at the drawer systems from 4wdsupacentre.. titans? Will have to see how they go with the wing kits. Might have to organise a day to go out there as I'm not too far away from the shop and see if they'll let me fit them loosely to ensure they fit OK.

I'm keen on the AT980s because they're still aggressive but not muddies and will be still doing a decent chunk of road driving. I'm planning on having the 2 sets of wheels though so i can keep my factory alloys for around town and chuck on the sunnies when i know i'm going somewhere of purpose.

I'll upload some pics once i've picked up the car on Wednesday and we can compare results.

Ath - I just read your thread about the drawers and there not being any wings for the 150.. seems a bit weird. Maybe i'll have to craft my own - i'm sure between the 2 of us we can figure something out.

Yeah, I think Supacenter sells blanks with those drawers if you don't have one listed- I'm sure some work with a jigsaw cutter would sort things out okay. I'm actually heading over that way tomorrow at this stage so I can ask them what the go is. The other options from different manufactures are probably better quality, but the price is a little crazy.

Ath - I found these (https://www.drifta.com.au/prado-stor...awers-package/) they look quite good and are under the $2k price tag you're concerned about. Also come with wings and false floor support after removing the 3rd row seats.

edit - also found these from 4WD Systems (https://www.4wdsystems.com.au/index.php?id=125&cat=112)

They look good mate, was aware of the Drifta set, but not of the 4wd systems- That price is a bit more palatable. Talked to a rep in Supacenter today and he said most people use the set for the 120, but buy a blank kit for the wings and custom cut it. He did say that the easiest way to mount them was to put them on top of the third row seats (which I'd be reluctant to do as you'd be losing a lot of space). But he said (and I have seen this elsewhere) that you'd have to make up some sort of bracket or spacers if you wanted to mount it to bare metal under the seats as it is not level. He quoted me 355 for the drawers and a blank kit of wings (which I did think was pretty good). Quality wise the drawers felt okay, but I've no doubt that they're saving money somewhere- I do have a mate with a set in his GU that have had the absolute hell flogged out of them and have stood up though, so they're not complete garbage.

After having the BFGs fitted yesterday i've noticed quite a large jump in fuel consumption, maybe an extra 2-3L/100km.. is this right? Am i going to have to start looking at an exhaust upgrade and tuning to counter for all the extra weight and rolling resistance?
I'm worried now about adding the roof accessories which will obviously increase drag..

I found that my fuel consumption increased by about 1.5-2 litres. In saying that you've got wider, stubbier tyres than me (I went 265/70/17). Notice the power drop, but it's not too bad.

Build updated, added a new pic from the bush recently. Also started a 4wd Social Club at work (Locked Out 4x4), we've got a planned outing on the 15th April.

How do you find those drawers you ended up with mate? How did the price compare to Drifta etc? Love the fruit you've got on it, I've got a lot of the same gear.

Hey Atherton - I ended up changing my mind as the guys at FullBoar never got back to me with a quote after emailing twice and calling. Ended up finding some second hand setup on Gumtree, originally compiled by Fourby Fitouts. It's very capable and suitable for what I wanted. Just gotta find a fridge/freezer to fit either on the side or on top of the drawer with a drop down slide.
