when i was looking for my grande i found an australian delivered one with those guages, but it was white and the paint was crap so meh.

I would love some of them for mine, seems like we have a similar style lol

looks good. my surf has the same gauge pod which Im going to try and fit 2 or 3 52mm gauges into it.

Should be able to do it, you can take the whole thing apart pretty easily. Will measure the ones in there for you if I remember

Is the airaid intake system to cut out all the box and crap on way to throttle body. Much power increase :?: ..
always wondered if we could just run a mandrel bent pipe straight to throtle body,any info would be great mate

Yep airaid is a smoother bend cutting out all the silencer crap that hinders airflow.
Should notice a slight increase in power (maybe 3kW). Should make acceleration smoother too and help a little with economy.
Will post back here when it's been delivered and I whack it in.

I looked into making up a tube myself out of either stainless or using silicone pipe. Problem is one end is 75mm ID and the other is 70mm ID making it a pain in the ass... requiring a reducer and what not. Then being able to put fit the vacuum hose into it became another small (more annoying) issue.
Weighed it up personally and it wasn't gonna be worth it as I'd have to get someone to do the stainless for me.

Thanks mate yeah let us know how it go`s i just replaced plugs in mine with bosch platniums (most people on here seem to think they are better,can only try)..I had a look at that box what the hell is it supposed to do just looks like a big waste of space :roll: cheers mate

How are the platinums so far? I've thought about replacing mine with them, but also getting better spark leads as well (Eagle or TopGun are good)

Yeh the big box is just an "intake silencer"... in other words, useless!

yeah i reckon i can feel the difference already,thinking the same as u though and will be getting some better leads shortly.
MAF sensor would be due for a tub to ,have u ever run an injector cleaner through yours im thinking of doing that although a mate of mine owns a mechanical buisness and he has a mobile guy that comes to him and clean injectors . Probably would`nt hurt it has just clicked over 180 000ks .I put k&n filter in today as well so ill see how it go`s after a couple of tanks of premium i was amazed the difference in economy and a bit of power that even just 95 octane made .Any way mate ill send u a pm in the next few days i might get in trouble for wriying all this on rig build up page :| ..Ill have to update my build up page i have put my lift in now lovells medium all round ,we went out the other weekend with a couple of mates in pootrols one has 4"lift and the other has two imch with both running 35`s and i went every where they did . Iactually had to pull the one out with 4"lift out of mud then i drove staight through ,he was a tad embarresed.

One of the other members on here got one, as well as a throttle body spacer (I decided against this), think it's Taresk off memory. If you put airaid in the search it might come up with the thread of his regarding it.

Just ordered:

- Patch lead and windscreen mount for my Blackberry StormII (just found out that it in fact does accept external antenna)
- Axis CLR7 Next G/3G 7db Antenna
- Bullbar antenna mount

Hopefully will improve my crappy reception out bush, with the added benefit of another antenna :P

First of 3 items to hopefully increase mobile reception arrived today.

Patch lead for the Blackberry. Will be interested to see how it actually goes, has only cost me about $120 all up for everything so not really fussed.



***Edit: Antenna arrived, just awaiting the bracket and will be easy to install.

Ok, so the bracket arrived today, now have extended 3G coverage for my phone (which will be much appreciated due to Vodafone's so called "coverage")

Very simple install, bolt bracket to bulbar, attach antenna, run a bit of conduit through the engine bay and it just pops out near the centre console and into the patch lead.



Bracket looked a bit flimsy when I ordered online, but felt nice and strong in person. 4 lock nuts onto the 2 U-bolts. Takes about 10 mins to tighten the four buggers so if anyone can be bothered undoing them they can have the antenna!
