  • Hello from Hong Kong

This is my Prado 125. (Rare to see here, having seen just another one before.)
I lifted 6 inches with the rough country kit.

With Aussie sovereign bar and Safari snorkel.

IPF 9224 search light and 900 H4 fog light with MID 3000k conversion.

6 inches lift, with 3 inches drop bracket and similar amount of differential drop. The CV still suffers a little bit but clearence gained.

The RCX skid plate that came with the kit save some $$

The 34" spare wheel, Toyo open country MT, 285/75R17, sits on the bumper and the door hinge relieved.

    Hope you would like it.

      Holy sh*t!!!

I really love the lift  . Wonder how it would look on a 5 door. This is the way for fitting larger tyres!!

      Anyway, pricing :?: ?

              Re: Hello from Hong Kong

I bought from rough country. This is designed for the FJ Cruiser but I dared to be a guinea pig.
              http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/toyota4_FJ_Cruiser.htm
But there are three manufacturers, R/C doesn't require cutting crossmember. The other two do.
              There has been some argument.

Some people hate it, some people swear by.

But if you want a rough country kit and don't want to have a painful arrangement of the second shipping for a pair of coilover, this is a good offering.

                That looks absolutely wild.
                I luv it.
Does anyone know of a kit similiar to this in Oz? Please let me know.
I can see why a lift like that is required for 34inch tyres.

How did you go with mounting the spare on the Rear Door?

                  Great looking wagon.

Are the side mirrors fitted with LED Turn Signals, looks like it in the photo.

With all the cheap mods sold in Hong Kong, my Pardo would be considerably heavier than it is now.

I just ordered a set of LED globes from Hong Kong, do you have them fitted?
October 2003 build GLX Prado Diesel. Nudge Bar, window tinting, fitted sheepskin seatcovers, bonnet protector, cargo barrier, sandgrabba mats and empty pockets.

Now that's a nasty CV angle  imagine what it's like at full suspension droop!

Welcome aboard... is there much scope for off roading in HK?

I'm a little confused  ... how did you drop the diff but not cut the cross member? It doesn't look like the diffs been dropped (looking at that CV angle). How much down travel is in the front?

A few more pictures would be appreciated...(of "drop brackets" fitted and diff drop)

                        Cheers,

Just stick it onto the mirror for protection. Don't bother to connect the cable for the LED.

I added two spacers, 1.5"x2=3", to keep the tyre clear from the door.

It will add a lot of stress to the mount, so I choose 34" tire which sits right on the bumper. I drop a stainless steel plate to even out the weight.
