Hi the roof cage was Cheep only about 200 from repco a couple of months ago

The kaymar bar will be colour coded, I may leave the wheel carrier off to make it easier for wife to get into the back

The km2 are excellent tyres , they are by far the best I have had off road and better then the previous mud tyre

I am happy how they handle on the road, actually better than what I expected, good I. The wet also

Noise they are a mud terrain, you can defiantly here the tyre noise in the cab, but does not concern me too much, I am not sure if better or worse than other mud tyres

Off road they are very good, one of the best mud tyres I have come across, I have friends have them also and they really like them as well

The good news is they are back in stock in Australia now

If u were closer to me u could take it for a drive to see what u think

Ihave finally got around to doing a few jobs that I have been putting off for some time, fitted duel battery monitor properly, so it does not fall off, hate double sided tape, I used the plug and groved a whole for wires to go through and used hot melt glue to fit, I also fitted the carling switch for the spot lights and added more 12volt plugs at the back. Also had fited the Rhino alarm, which give you another 3 points for the imobilser, also has inbuilt turbo timer.

I still have the following things to do over next few weeks
                        - fit mud tyres to steel rims, and put original ones back on the alloys
                        - paint and fit Kaymar reer bar
                        - Also rear work light
                        - fit compressor under bonnet
                        - rear door table and maybe draws if I feel like the challenge
                        - refit digital TV as blew a fuse somewhere and it must be behind stereo, so have to pull it all out again
                        - Diff and gearbox breathers
                        - maybe lockers if I decide to drop plans for comp car

Fitted the compressor, made a plate up from an old battery tray, so i could fit the winch controller and compressor in. it fits in there nicely

                          Thats all from this week

What dual battery monitor are you using?

I am using the arb one, but I know a lot of people run the redarc one, they are quite a bit cheeper and do just as good a job.

Well, just had the prado into Toyota for a few things fixing before the warrantee runs out, replaced drivers power window motor, as it was noisy, also had rough idle when cold ( so check posts here and it pointed to engine mounts), so i was glad when they diagnosed it also and replaced both mounts.

Also swapped bfg's km2's onto steel Toyota rims and put the original ones back on the alloy rims, I did this myself at a friends workshop, the bfg's were harder to take off and then back on compared to standard tires, balanced them myself, so I know they are the best that can be done.

Next thing to do is extend all breathers and also install an oil catch can.
