I have recently put one gauge mounted on my pillar, its a Defi BF Boost gauge (was a left over part from my old R33 GTR). Looks pretty good, however the Japanese gauges do have a lot better looking gauge and cup than the Autometer style gauges, but would want to be as they are over triple the price of Autometer boost gauges. Being an electronic gauge it also only has one small wire coming out of the gauge, not a vacuum/boost line and lighting wires, making the install more compact. I'll add photos one day when i get around to it.

Also I'm still in love with your wheels

haven't done much or updated in here for a while. been working on the Bazooka getting it back into shape.

Inverter's been wired in, extended the rear mud flaps with some flash ARB ones, installed a 11" roof mount dvd player for the little sprog too and thats about it for now.

Australia day tomorrow, going out for a drive, so will try and get some current pics.

just in case people are wondering what the baZOOKa is:

sorry for the late reply. i don't have any pics of it on the prado, but i did take some before i trimmed them and fitted them.

the ARB part number escapes me though. sorry.

they are very strong, and very thick in regards to 'rubber' mud flaps. they are a plastic/rubber style flap. i tried using a stanley knife to trim them down, but one flap i used a couple of blades cos they kept getting blunt. on the second flap, i ended up using a cutting blade on the dremel tool. the flap more so melted than spat rubbery powder everywhere.

they have multi mount holes in the top, but even with a lifted prado and attached to the existing flaps, they were too long. the measuered about 300mm in the width, so i made it about 300mm in the height and fixed them with 3 bolts.

i was also weary about the flaps being too low and catching on things when reversing. i made the flaps just so they are above gutter height.

i like how it is all black with the ARB logo embossed. sometimes you have to look twice to see it. i'm not a big fan of the colourful ones with brands or pics printed in colour.

          pics.

When you get a chance post up some snaps of them fitted and how they are fitted. I've just about completey peeled the rear left standard flap off my 120 and need to replace but not sure on how. Curious if you mounted these to the existing plastic flap or found a more secure way of attaching.

i've just bolted the ARB flaps to the existing flaps. after my mishap, i had all 4 mudflaps replaced as well as both side steps.

so far so good, but i can see the whole thing tearing off when the factory flaps start to tear and weaken.

for some reason, photobucket is not allowing me to load pics. sorry. is there anywhere else i can upload pics?

my front UCA's came last week. hopefully i can get them in the next week end or so. i have been taking pics, and i will try and keep details about how things go.

i'm not sure about the rear lower control arms, as they look like they will touch. but DD runs 4" cruiser shocks, and seems to still have his OE lower arms.

other than that, not much else has happened.

both batteries and tray had to come out. the UCA have got one long mofo bolt and a half. i think its the longest bolt on the car.

my OME struts are now the limiting factor as they do not have enough length on them at all. i need a strut that is at least another 25mm longer in the open length.

these arms open up massive amounts of travel for the front. the old UCA ball joint was the limiting factor, as the ball joint would bind at full droop. with the old UCA, i could only sqeeze a further 10mm of down travel with the OME struts. this meant i could have fitted a 6-8mm plate spacer on top of the strut to have a front ride height of about 800 pretty safe.

now with the new arms in, total droop is about 900 on its own weight. if i disconnect the front sway bar and lever the spindle down, a further 40mm could be had. as the UCA swings further down in its arc, the effective wheel travel is reduced as you are no longer moving the spindle in the vertical plane.
