    Hi Steve,

just curious with those 3 spotties on the front does that affect radiators airflow?

    Cheers,
    Tim

    • gday buster.

i would think it does reduce air flow to the radiator and intercooler. the intercooler feeds from two ducts behind the grille and through the double skin bonnet.

i live in a pretty warm part of aus, and haven't had any issues with this set up. as you have probably read, i have had the 3 spotty set up almost from new. i've always considered the hilux bonnet scoop mod to help air flow, but its something i haven't gotten around to doing yet.

planning a trip over to the east coast later on this year, so i might look at getting that done before i head off.

      • p.s, i might have to take the middle light off for the trip. i hear authorities don't like 3's.

          Cheers for reply mate,
its just that im looking at the 3 spotty setup i think it should be fine just as long as i keep the radiator mud-free

          Cheers,
          Tim

mate, all we have up here is mud. i don't have much issue with mud in the radiator. mainly just grass and grass seeds etc.

the main reason for muddy radiators is when people go into mud holes at speed, or super deep soup.

i'll take some pics tonight with them in. no before pics, but you can chuck your car in reverse and hab a look at your lights.

will let you guys know how they go. i was a bit worried that they would be a bit too bright for the camry waiting for my park at night though. so hopefully, i won't need to switch on the rear LED work lights on when i reverse at night. it is good though, because people will actually stop and they will actually see you reversing.

              pics coming.

yea i dont get the slop type of mud. most of the mud i go through its kind of very muddy waterholes so i have to use a bit of the right foot.

                    Steve,
How did you go about wiring up the 3rd light?
I recently found out you can only buy the 900xs in sets of 2?

                    Cheers,

i have after market HID kits in them.

either way, i wired the two outer ones together, and ran the middle one seperate.

my HID kits are only 35w ones.
