      thanks for the feedback on the new money pit...

      Regarding the sills...Search the words "Toyota Prado Scuff Stainless Door Sill Plates" on fleabay and you too can also have a set for under $100 delivered to your door.

      They are not a genuine part, but look like it. Most people have been surprised that they were not standard with the vehicle.

          Looking at both new and 50k photos it looks like she didn't use much fuel between 37km and 50k km....i'm very impressed with the d4d's fuel economy!

            Finally taken some photo's of the UHF install.









            Allows me to unplug the unit and put it in the glovebox out of site if required

                  Also had a reverse camera fitted so that I can reverse onto the camper without assistance.



                  I have opted for the LCD integrated into the rear vision mirror.





                  Very happy with the results...

                    I installed a Steinbauer chip yesterday and the difference is great...

                    First step is to remove intercooler


                    Plug the 8 plugs in to the existing wiring


                    Mount the unit (2 holes in the case only allow zip ties and the wiring harness is quite short)


                    Connect the 1 wire to the throttle plug


                    Connect it up to the power, fit the intercooler back up, double check everything and take it for a test drive. When you get back, try and take the smile off your face.

                            Pulled out the Philips Crystal Visions and fitted these to the head lights and fog lights....

                              After lifting the campervan for extra clearance, the van sat higher than the car.

                              That left only one option...



                              Took about 4 hours from start to finish (thanks to the air tools).
