Hi Boof, must say I like the wheels on your Prado... And love the Lux!!! Definitely best of both worlds.
We've just started a club (HUGE work in progress) to hold 4x4 comps up here in Far North Queensland, we've got onto a few people who are interested to host the events, you should think about bringing it up when we get our stuff together!
Yeh let me know when it is and I will look at it, 8)

The wife gets a little annoyed at the V8 rego for a toy ops:
Are you sure that's the only thing....
shhhh you
Well I have booked the Prado in for a LPG next week, a snorkel will be fitted this Friday before the gas goes on. This weekend will see the stereo and the UHF from the Lux fitted into it also. Next weekend a good mate has his welder ready to help me knock up a nudge bar and a set of sliders, then once thats done the front and rear lockers are going in. With the Lux off the road and in pieces for quite a while the Prado will see some offroad duty nothing extreme but enough to keep addiction firmly in place and to stop me losing interest in rebuilding the Lux.
For those interested heres how the llux looked a few weeks ago before I pulled it apart again.
Its now fully stripped again ready for a colour change again and also the new diffs and tyres that require everything to be changed.
Its getting an auto, 404 Mog diffs, rear steer 40" tyres etc etc should be a weapon when done

Well thanks to the search function on here and some very detailed posts from others I pulled the Prado apart this morning to fit the head unit and UHF from the Lux into it.
Have also been doing some research and looking and am considering fitting the seats from the Lux to this also after having them recovered to match the standard trim. I dont believe getting the passenger seat sensors to work will be a problem.
Also had a very good look at the front and will be doing some further research but I believe I can build a custom bar for the front utilising the airbag sensors from the standard bumper. Will look at doing this when its not the wifes daily, am also looking into a custom rear setup for better departure and more strength 8)

Snorkel has been fitted, and a new rim combo will be in the very near future, I seriously considered upgrading to a 33" tyre and regearing while doing the airlockers. I cant really justify the need though as its main duties are touring and towing, so for now I have decided on just changing the rims for something a bit different.

WOW boof... You do have plans.... and looking at your Lux I would say that there is a fair chance you will accomplish them on the Prado too
Cheers mate plans are always good but this one wont end up like the Lux, I dont see me selling it anytime in the near future so may as well turn it into what I want 8)
Well got the gas system fitted yesterday, first impressions are that there is no noticable difference in power, looking forward to getting to use it more and see how consumption goes. From all accounts it should be a fair bit cheaper to run while still keeping the petrol power :P
This weekend Dan and I are doing the sliders and looking at the front bar options, I am liking the idea of a tube bar on it the more I think of it. Also need to chase up Ryano to see how he went on the rims I picked out

Looking forward to seeing the barwork. Are you still looking at doing something for the rear, as per you earlier post?
2003 120 GXL V6 auto. GME TX3440 and AE4703, Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 rib LT265/70R17 plus roadies, Ausguard cargo barrier, BD bash plate, OME lift with Sport shocks. And hopefully more to come, slowly slowly...

Possibly will start with the sliders and front bar and go from there, havent really seen a rear bar design I like that would suit the Prado. Also the gas tank looks vunerable under the rear so not sure I should bother trying to increase the departure angle. :?

Well the wife wasnt happy with the idea of me cutting up the bar I bought and said she would prefer I left it alone and stuck to cutting up my own car
Although the bar looks good in this pic it was actually in really bad condition.
So I started stripping it down to sand it up ready for paint and found that it had a few issues, the chassis mount plate was cracked for starters so my good mate Dan is repairing that for me. The indicators and the rest of the bar were in pretty bad condition, the plastics and indicators all look as though they have spent 6 months under muddy water :x so I ordered a new set of indicators and ARB fog lights for it. This in itself created another problem it turns out the older bar I have will only take the IPF fog lights which at $400 a pair I was not interested in. So what to just modify it to fit the cheaper ARB lights
I have repainted all the backing brackets, soaked the light insert in meguires interior cleaner for a week to get them like new and then put that part back together, Looks just like a new one now 8)
I now need to organise to get the bar sand blasted as the chips and scratches are too deep to just sand back so I will get it sand blasted and then repaint it 8)
I havent had a chance to get the sliders made yet or the lockers fitted but these will both be done before the end of the year. Also at this stage have decided to hold off on new rims and tyres until these wear out the money will be better spent on my Lux
