Hi all,

New member and first post here. I have been going through the site for a couple of days before I got the prado, some great information on what mods to do.

Picked up my prado on Friday afternoon. First mod was Mickey thompson 265/70/17 ATZ's that got installed this morning, love them so far. Next is 50mm raised lovells and bilsteins which go in next Tuesday. I will be taking the car for a test run up to lake Eucumbene this afternoon, heading through namadgi national park, so far I love the prado, great truck.

Nice looking truck Matt you will love it even more when you get the suspension done and then all the other mod's that follow oh and welcome to prado point hope you enjoy this great site

Oh, sorry prado BB, just put my location in then.

I am getting the suspension done at capital steering and suspension, in Fyshwick ACT. I have had suspension work done by them on many of my street cars throughout the years, escorts, RX7's, commodores, skylines, and have always been happy. This is the first 4wd I have taken to them though. I may have to search through the forum and find out the best alignment settings for raised suspension, I am sure that they will know what is best anyway.

I can't wait till it's done, and to be able to put the prado through it's paces, it definately does not have enough ground clearance at the moment to tackle some of the tracks up in the brindabella mountains. I will keep you all posted on the progress.

Hi all,

Got the suspension lift done on Tuesday. I ended up with 810F and 840R, which I am quite happy with. Would have liked a tad more lift in the front.



I took the truck up to lake Eucumbene on the weekend before the suspension got done, I was quite impressed with how well it went as is. I'm sure it will even be better now, can't wait to test out the new suspension this weekend. I got a couple of nice rainbow trout while up there



Next mod will definately have to be spotties, I was struggling at times on the faster dirt roads, the stock lights really aren't that great. I was thinking Lightforce blitz 240's. After that will probably be GPS, I am quite keen on the Garmin nuvi 760 at the moment, please let me know if there is better for the money.
