My wife has been wanting a Prado for a while now, and friends of ours upgraded to a 120 Series so we got their old 90 Series. First 4wd I've owned, so will have to get used to a new driving style Offroad. Normally I take my Volkswagens Offroad and have a great time.
Anyway, here's some pics. Picked it up on the weekend, and took it to Mt Mee to see how it would go.

I was going to look at your buggy images again but they seem to have disappeared :!:

My father had a beach buggy when he moved up to the Sunshine coast in the late '70s; what a machine! Had many fantastic drives up Rainbow Beach with him. Being a motor mechanic he had built this engine that was very powerful for driving in the sand which is what you need. By the way, can you still get Judson superchargers for the veedubs :?:

I love driving the buggies, but will have to slow down a bit with the Prado for offroading.
You cant buy the Judson Superchargers new anymore, but second hand ones turn up from time to time and go for big $$$

Welcome to the forum VWNuts! Did you find out about the forum from your friends that you bought the 90's from? Considering they have bought another Prado, I think it would be only fair that if they aren't on the forum already that you tell them about it

The other benefit is that now you and your friends both have a Prado and can go places together!

Welcome to the site VWnuts nice looking truck you have got there, it's good to see another 90 series member to the forum we are slowly catching the 120's.
Do you have any mod's that you would like to the truck in the future.

I do most of my serious offroading in my Beach Buggy, so being the the Prado is for the missus, wont be doing too much more to it. We put on a set of new Bridgestone tyres a little while ago as the drumming noise from the old tyres was really annoying. I've also added a UHF radio now as I found a great deal on two units, so one in the buggy and one in the Prado. We've taken it up to Rainbow Beach a couple of times now and my wife is getting pretty good at driving it on the sand.

Dont have a Bullbar, so had to mount the UHF aerial here
