  • Our '04 TD silver wagon

My wife and I purchased our prado back in 2004, didn't do much to it for a few years, but in the past 12 months have added a uniden UHF radio, (fitted inside the centre console) a set of cooper A/Ts, ECB alloy bar, Rhino racks & large basket, IPF driving lights and snorkel. And now that our son now works at TJM  a suspension upgrade is now on its way for our big trip to Darwin next year

    Welcome aboard!

Great colour and year model you have there!

I too have an ECB bar but ask me next week and I reckon the ARB one will be on!

Don't forget to put your location in your profile grahmars so we all know where you're from, and so we can all great discount from your son!

I find a spoonful of planned trip helps the mods go down better with the Wife.

well I've had the new suspension fitted at TJM, cant tell you how much but I can say it was extremely cheap. While I was there, my son showed me a dual battery system on another prado, so I convinced the missus we needed one along with cables to the rear and an anderson plug to connect to our brand new camper trailer from allterraincampers. While waiting for all the parts to come into stock my son quit his job at TJM ( I could have killed him, I need more gear ). Have now fitted, with help from my son, the dual battery system and the anderson plug at the rear. Going to TJM to get more gear this saturday, maybe that new aerial I've had my eyes on for a while. If my son comes over to help fit it he can take some photos so I can show all the work we;ve done so far.....

Got the trailer with 3 king wheels and decided they would look better on the Prado than the trailer. So, went out and bought 1 more and threw them on.

Got my 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust fitted on the Friday before the long weekend, got it custom made by Liverpool exhaust (who also own Hurricane Headers). Its like driving a different Prado, it's noticable straight away, no more struggle to rev past 3 grand, all the way to 3600 now. Would recommend this modification to anybody with a T/Diesel. I got a really good price as mine was their first 1kzte 120 series but have have been quoted $1350 fitted for Pradopoint.com readers with a 1kzte and D4D, 150 series might be a bit more. So once again it's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know!!!!!!
