Rynos GXL TD(snorkel added)

After finally deciding on a Prado over a Hilux, and departing with my much loved V8 Falcon Ute, the Mrs and I bought our 05 GXL TD. We've owned it now for about 6 months and so far I've installed a DP Chip, a Toyota bonnet protector and some recovery gear. Plans for the near future include an OME suspension upgrade, Safari snorkel, ARB Deluxe Winch Bullbar, IPF 900 Xtreme Sport spotties, Winch, Dual Battery System, an air compressor and a set of BFG ATs. Hoping for a good chrissy bonus.




Wired the DP Chip through to the glove to make it easer to adjust if need be.

it's a fun job putting it all on, but well worth it, good luck with the mods, and remember to add the pics as u go.

New set of BFG's fitted and a deposit on an OME Nitro suspension kit payed and will be fitted sometime in January. Thank you Christmas bonus.

What number OME equipment are you choosing? You'll be stoked with the improvement.

Probably not really a part of the build up, but I fixed a couple of chips I had on my windscreen with this nifty little kit that I saw on the latest 4WD Action DVD. It worked pretty well, can still slightly see some tiny cracks but definitely better. Worth keeping a kit in the car to fix the chips as soon as they happen and stop it from getting bigger on rough roads.

Had the suspension done today, fitted an Old Man Emu Nitro Sport system and Polyair airbags. Stoked with the ride and the look. Can’t wait to get off road and see how much better it handles the rough stuff.

I saw this on the latest 4WD action DVD as well. I thought it looked pretty reasonably and easy to use and could easily justify adding one of these to the trip spares when remote. Nice job Ryan.

Nice work Ryno, this week was a big week for OME lifts, looks good, i need some of those tyres with the with letters and chunkier tread pattern to finish mine off.

Fitted a Safari Snorkel a couple of weekends ago. Did the job myself, went without a hitch except burning out my el-cheapo Bunnings drill. Thanks to Chippy for his DIY thread.

Hey Hutch.

The lift is awsome , its amazing what differance 2 inches makes. Road handling has'nt really changed that much which is good and looks the part too.
