There are a lot of good people on this forum and a lot that have moved on because of a few. This forum has lost one of its best members largely due to apathy and inconsistency. Its almost criminal that AJ plays by the rules including leaving his posts here and others continue to get away with what they do.

Its correct, it is very unlikely he will read these comments, about the same chance as Aaron running this as a respectable forum where paid advertisers are treated properly. Enough from me, because it is very unlikely justice will be done other than me being banned for yet again highlighting the fact this forum has a cancer that is getting out of control. That of course will entail someone telling Aaron just like I have let AJ know the well wishes etc.

Might go grab the pradopoint calendar I didn't receive and cross off how many days before the next valuable contributor get p155ed off enough and signs out permanently.

Repeated, either unheard or ignored questions over basic questions regarding our sponsorship fees, and others spruking products when they are not a paid sponsor led us to a point that i couldn't even get a return email for over 12 months!

Very disappointing from a forum that started out so professionally with a great bunch of contributors.

A couple of us questioned if a member commenting on his product was a paid up retail member.

Hey I like the idea that people on here that have come up with there own product and then offer it to others to purchase.
But when someone asks a question and then in a flash is directed to commercial product from another member I start to think.
Some of the business owners on here are Prado enthusiasts and offer advise based on there experience without trying to promote themselves.

That is largely the reason why. I think AJ is a very fair fellow, so this must have been going on for some time.

Even the facebook group has a bunch of tossers on it.

Even worse on the couple of facebook groups, there are people "Astroturfing" a particular vendor - we all saw the results of that on the first night of the Tassie GTG. Mine was a write off because of that product.

AJ seems a bit of a baby to me, he did the same at the Vic GTG, spat the dummy & didn't show up, after all the hard work of the Vic crew put in with organising & Recce trips plus all the freebies donated by sponsors. Time to grow up

I think this a PradoPoint passing another milestone.
Many good & bad members have come & gone, but PRADOPOINT will always remain.
Don't judge the good or the bad till you know them & the real facts, there's 2 sides to every story.
Just like when I leave, I'm sure many will think "about time" many others will be disappointed, some won't care.

To do with the gtg, it was a misunderstanding about many things, as the frontman I handed out some sh!t, (i had plenty of encouragement) similar to what the crew received, lots of members were p!ssed off with the way the 10+ committee were treated for their planning.
So we are not perfect & I'm a long way off. Shortly afterwards, I apologised in a p.m to AJ & it was ignored.
Anyway the 2014 gtg was great, even if the gods weeee'd on us all through

I think we all need to have a think about how lucky we are to live the way we do, without disability, with toys, with security, able to travel, able to meet more great people & enjoy good times, well if we are so lucky, not all of us! So have a thought for those less fortunate some have much bigger problems.

People want to whinge about such little things, if someone's advertising is paid?
Well lets let pp management take care of that.
AJ has been selling sliders for free for years, & good on him as long as its a fair field & everyone can do the same.

Cumon crew, heads up stick positive, it's the only way to be!

Sure there are.
That may change next year. But you cannot stop someone who believes in & recommends products & services or specials.
Personally I think the opinion of a person who uses hundreds of the same products, from experience, so that experience is very valuable to know.

Just mentioned AJ sliders, high $$$ item & high quantity sold, highly advertised, it has? Or had a thread & was in signature also.
It also happens to be the person that is getting thought about & discussed in his thread, about people not being paid up for advertising.
Unless I misunderstand, I read "that is largely the reason why" The leader of it doesn't like it? Leading the way, setting example.
I'm reading between the lines a little here, so happy to be corrected when wrong.

I didn't start the negativity about this. I see the products & services available as a positive, because they are generally good.
I'm all for people like AMTS4x4 & his ideas & products he sells through different avenues including here.

Fair call CaLLaN, just factually way off the Mark. I spat the dummy and I had the confrontational exchange of posts with one member of the Melbourne Committee. For what its worth, I still have a lot of time for the balance of that committee including planning trips with some of them.

AJ simply rang a few of the Melbourne group we all respect and advised he was not going and for good reasons. I appreciate most members including you do not know the facts and don't need too. I was on the committee for the GTG and I know why Mlc and Aj didn't come and I tried hard to still get them to go but enough of that, before Aj's build gets taken down maybe we should just stop .
I'm sorry Aj is gone and I wish him all the best and I'm very interested in the drives he was planing and if I ever go past Loxton again I would gladly have another dinner with him.
