After the sad loss of the original ordered vehicle due to the Perth hail Storm, the much awaited Graphite Diesel GXL has arrived. Delivered with BFG's upgrade and Tracklander roof rack for our Hannibal roof top tent.The first week in June its booked in for a 3 day makeover at Ultimate4WD in canningvale, which will include ARB Deluxe bar, 170 HID Spots, dual battery, radio, suspension upgrade,additional fridge power outlet, blackwidow drawers, fridge slider and safety barrier.

Thanks Wingnuts and Graphite,

I have appreciated the feedback from all the members over the past few months and have learnt a lot in the process. This truck is destined to see a lot of k's over the next few years as the wife and I have a lot of country to see after ensuring our 4 kids have been given all the tools for life.

I have driven many Prados but have never had the opportunity to modify them. Ive been like a kid waiting for Santa and he just arrived and I'm looking forward to sharing my joy in building this with you.

The contrast between the 120 GXL and this unit is interesting, but I like what i see so far.

Well what a great weekend was had with the work nearly completed on the truck.
the work completed last week included the following.

1. Black Widow 900 draws with fridge slide
2. Black Widow Half Barrier with top shelf centre barrier combo
3. ARB Deluxe Winch Bull Bar (no colour coding)
4. Tabor 9000 winch with Dyneema Rope
5. Complete Dobinson suspension upgrade
6. Dual Battery System
7. Upgrade wiring to rear fridge plug
8. ARB On-Board Compressor
9. Hannibal Classic Tent with Jumbo Fly 1.4M
10. GME 3440
11. HID Lightforce 170's
12. 2 x 1kg extinguishers

I havent taken the specific shots of each part. I have some shots of what it looks like when being utilised at Port Denison on saturday night and Sunday night at Ninghan Staion just south of paynes Find with a bit of mud in between.

PS There is quite a few scratches on it already with just under 3000ks on the clock, Oh well had to happen some time.

If you have any specific parts that you would like close ups of I will get them over the next couple of days. I am still awaiting the snorkle and Dyneema rope for the winch.

Hi Madkore,

I was absolutely rapped with the comfort of the suspension system and the capacity of the vehicle. It crawls beautifully up hill and the down hill assist was a bit noisy but was great on steep gravel track with quite a few washouts.

The Hanibal tent worked a treat as far as sleeping and ease of set up was concern. We do however believe it is cut a bit too tight and I have reported back to the retailer for some comments as a couple of Velcro strips on the side at the hinge point didn’t quite match up.

I have sent off shots of the velcro to the supplier and i havent had a reply as yet. I also had issues with proping up the hatch cover at the rear of the tent (opposite to ladder entry). Have you any problems with this issue?

I need to follow up tommorow as I have been down south for the past 4 days putting the vehicle through its paces on the sand tracks between Yalingup and Margaret River over the weekend and been out of mobile range. More scratches

Very well set up 150 Casper.. I like it!! Infact I would even go so far to say that I would consider one after seeing how well they can be set up after viewing your build up...

It looks soooo much better with the ARB bar on the front!

I have contacted the dealer here in Perth and he tells me the rep is in Brisbane.

I have to take it in for them to check it out and contact the agent while its there for review, bit of a pain for me as the dealer is at the opposite end to the city from where I live.

I reckon I saw you drive passed the other day Casper, right next to Melville Holden on Canning Hwy, on Friday arvo.

Either that or a rig that looks just like yours...
