  • Gday Dan,

If you haven't already committed give this bloke a try http://sdwheelcorp.com/

Steve is very helpful and responds to all emails and requests promptly and most of all is cheap.

I just got a set of 5 American eagle 18's delivered to my door for less than the freight charge I was quoted locally, that is despite advising that I was in no hurry as my 150 is nowhere near here yet and they could put them in the next container... Unfortunately (well for them) I wasn't prepared to spend 3 times as much on an identical wheel so Steve got my business.

Wheels got to me in 8 days from SD warehouse (that included a Quarantine inspection in SYD).

He also does all the US made Tyres as well and can help you avoid unnecessary import charges.

No affilitiation just a very happy customer

    • My job for the night... The NEW GPS / DVD / TV has arrived. Even came with a 2nd camera so I am going to mount that on the front bar as a forward camera!

      • Success, 3/4's installed. I just have to get the GPS voice, HD TV installed, DVD Player working when driving and reverse camera connected and I am done. I will do a full write up and review on the weekend when I pull it all out again and re install it with the additional features. Damn good bit of gear but. Well worth the $850!

          • Great looking rig mate. Looking forward to your write up on the GPS/DVD install.

Do you recommend the ERPS system? Thinking of putting it on myself but would like to hear any feedback you may have.

            • Thanks, the GPS is great but the reverse camera and HD TV setup have beaten me and I have called in a pro to finish, it is being installed on Thursday however I am also getting him to add the switch so I can select, front and rear cameras as well as the run the TV antenna to each side of the vehicle on the rear quarter panel glass. The unit is easy to install but after 3 hours tonight and 2 hours last night I have called it quits on the camera... That annoys the crap out of me as well...

The ERPS is a great bit of gear and I hope it works (had them installed on all our previous cars without issue). I was a fairly easy install but you do need to remove the rear seats to get to the rear area with a flat surface. I found the ERPS had a slightly smaller pad that suited the Prado panels better but that is just my opinion.

              Cheers Daniel

              • Hi daniel,
I noticed with the fascia they provided they have moved the hazard light switch to the left. Why did they do that is there not enough room on the right side anymore? Just curious.

                Cheers

                • More designed for a LHS drive vehicle. You could make the OE trims fit if you wanted to muck around a bit but I am happy with they way it looks, I may get the energy one day to do it...

                    • Hi Melbo

Its all in and mostly working but during my process of trying to get the camera to work I sent 12V to it instead if 5 and I blew it up... So it has been wired so that a 12v aftermarket camera will now work on the front and rear but I have had to order the camera for it. I will post some pics of the install and where we located everything tonight after I get back from these Anti-natal classes...

The TV function is pretty cool and i was able to watch the news last night while waiting for my wife to finish work.

The instructions (or lack there of) are crap, there are hidden wires in the car that you need to plug in so it was a lesson in itself.

Overall I am 90% happy with it, once the camera goes in I should be 100%.

                      Cheers Daniel

                      • Thanks for the update Daniel. Did you lose any of the steering wheel controls?

                        Cheers ,

                        • Only the phone functions but everything else works as normal. The phone setup in the new gps is far better and I now have my contact list in there so heaps easier.
