Picked up our new GXL D4D manual prado Wednesday my old rig is a 92 4runner so its been a big change. We bought the prado from mosman toyota for 60k drive away with carpet mats,tow bar,bonnet protector and window tints.
The first day I picked it up I took it to swap the tyres. I'm having a bit of other work done when my bar is ready and then its off to the cape in August. So far love the new prado below is the quote from mannell motors they have been great so far.

Great list of accessories to be fitted too!

I was considering buying a 120 series Prado but now seeing them go for a fair price around the 60k mark i am considering the GXL D4D manual too otherwise SR5 hilux can't make up my mind! :|

Hi Graphite,

looking good.

Mine is going into the workshop tommorrow and it will be interesting to compare notes. eg what pursuaded you towards the coopers. I went the BFG's and the coopers were a close second.

have you seen the safari snorkel as i was told it wasnt available yet?

I was going to go for a near new 120 but for 5 or 10k more it did not take me long to see the light its nice to have a brand new one and get a 3 year warranty
I thought about a hilux too but after driving them at work the prado is much more comfortable and a better ride the stiff leaf springs in the rear spoil the ride a bit. Anyway that's what made me go for the 150 keep us posted on what you do.

They are not available YET, however a lot of places have put orders in for them and are accepting orders as a waiting list for them.

Apparently the safari snorkels were shipped to ARB late may, found some pics over on lcool.org posted up by one of the admins.

Your BFGs look the goods I went the coopers because I had them for the last 4 years on my 4runner and was happy with them some people have had the rubber chip but I think that is under heavy load like if they are on a land cruiser which weigh in at 3ton.
What work are you having done?
I do not know if safari snorkel is ready yet but they recon it will be ready by the time I go in for my bar in about 3 weeks

I looked at a few different draw systems black widow I thought was the best but it comes at a price its not on my quote but I am getting the same system as you.
