Re: Bill's 2010 Prado build up!

                    Hi Bill,

Looks great! I'm getting my new Prado tomorrow and also want to build-in a GPS unit.

                    A few questions:
                    - do you have pictures from the installation of the Kenwood unit?
                    - do you have any advice how to open the middle console to put in a GPS unit without incurring any damage?
                    - why did you choose the Kenwood?
                    - how much space is there availabe?
                    - does the Kenwood connectors fit with the Toyota wiring out-of-the box or did you have to wire it yourself?
                    - does the Kenwood show the reverse camera?
                    - do all the steering wheel controls work normally?

Much appreciated if you could answer my endless list of questions

                    Kind regards,
                    Jan

Great build job.. I like what you did with the dash. Did you hook the reverse camera up to new stereo? I want to do the same but also want the GPS to be able to load Hema maps... Also did you manage to get steering wheel controls to adapt to new unit?

Nice work mate. There are a lot of similiarities between our builds. I see you are also using a Kenwood head unit.

And or I anyone else has details of how they have mounted phone cradles on a 150.

Hey Hutch, try this link for the phone mounts. They are excellent and can be adapted for radio handset too. They just click on to the dash (no holes or screws).
