Yep I have the 275's and the spare wheel cover still fits. I've taken mine off though as I reckon it looks a bit better.

Hi Sam
Thanks for you excellent writeups. I am putting an aux battery in my 150 diesel using your setup as a guide. I'm an electronics repairmain by trade so the automotive stuff is well out of my experience. Can I please confirm that you don't fuse the wiring between main and aux battery. (That was how I did my 120 following a similar write up, but some 150 writeups now talk about fuses) Also on my 120 I had the aux negative going to the engine block. I see you have taken yours all the way back to the main battery, I know you will have a good reason for that, can you explain the advantage please?Best Regards
Charlie

Hi Charlie, yes, the aux negative goes back to the negative on the main battery. I am only a relative beginner to 12v too but have always been told that running negatives back to the battery when possible is a better way to do it than earthing to the body or engine.
I have a maxifuse on the positive cable running from the main battery to the isolator and another maxifuse on the positive cable running from the isolator to the aux battery. As far as I'm aware, you should definitely be running fuses on both positive cables.
If you PM Derek (ABR Sidewinder) he will be able to give you the guru's opinion.
Hope this helps.

I'm sure they'll get a good workout next weekend during the MySwag huts trip. Not sure about the transfer case by itself. Will find out.150 GXL V6 Auto. Hi Sam,
I have a set of the ARB Protection plates on order, thanks for the photo's, they look great.
Any chance of a bit more info please?
1/ could you post a photo showing where the front plate meets the plastic bumper? About six inches forward of the attached photo would be perfect.
2/ any idea how heavy they are?
3/ does the transfer case plate cover the actuating module?
4/ did you lose any ground clearance?
Thanks,
GregLast edited by BNEGXL; 05-02-2012, 07:40 AM.
