Sam loving your blogspot, has now won me permission to buy the video camera as well! Thanks also for your help with the draws, order placed and they should be here early August. Where did you end up getting your camera from?

Wow, they look awesome! Offset is 0mm though. 150 has a +25 offset so they'll stick out 25mm further each side meaning a 50mm increase in track on each axle. VicRoads regulations only allow a max 25mm (12mm each side) increase in track so they will technically be illegal on the 150 (and the 120 for that matter) as I understand it.
I still like the fact that the Tanami's above are the perfect fit.
Hi Daniel, glad you ordered the Drifta, they're a good product.
We got our GoPro from an Aussie dealer but if I were you I'd get one directly from the main US site (gopro.com) with the current exchange rate, it'll be heaps cheaper. They charge a decent whack for postage so buy all of the accessories you want at the same time. One you should definitely get is the LCD Backpack. It makes lining up the shot a lot easier. I bought my LCD backpack from the US site and it was a fair bit cheaper than I could get it in Australia.
They are a great camera. D4D is also getting one after seeing some my videos
Cheers, Sam.

I saw a white GXL at ARB Coopers Plains in Brisbane that had the original mags electrstatically plated in semi gloss black and they looked fantastic! I like the original mag and the guy at ARB said the company that does the plating can leave parts of the wheel the original silver if required. The downside was $150.00 per wheel for a "paint job", they have a 5 year guarantee on the finish though.

Ok, I have been wondering what these wheels may look like on the Prado so I grabbed a photo from the Toyota website (didn't have a good side on one of my car surprisingly) and Photoshopped in the wheels. I reckon they look great!
The gunmetal grey should look even better on a white vehicle.
What do you reckon?

Emailed Ultimate to clarify whether the kit was just a modified 120 kit or one designed for the 150. Here's their reply.
"Hi Sam, I understand your concerns with the suspension and I can confirm that the suspension kit we supply is designed for the 150 series and your vehicle requirements."
I'll be ordering my kit shortly.
Cheers, Sam.
definitely keen to see and hear about the results!

Ordered my new suspension today from The Ultimate Suspension. They have been very helpful and their kit is designed specifically for the 150 (they're all custom made to order).
I'm getting struts with an adjustable spring seat (like the Bilsteins have) to allow me to fit a bar later and safely raise the front to the next cir-clip without risking CV's by adding spacers or having to pay extra for new HD springs.
These guys seem to have a very good reputation and have a life time warranty on springs (against breakage and sag) and a 2 year, 80,000km warranty on struts and shocks (whichever is last).
My very good local Toyota dealer has agreed to install them for me (they've done all my after market installs) so happy from a fitting warranty point of view.
Apparently about 4 days to make the kit up and another couple to freight them to me. Very excited

Well, the suspension is in and I'm very impressed. Only been for a quick burn around town and on a couple of dirt roads since picking it up but the handling is markedly improved. Nowhere near as much body roll and the compliance over bumps is much better. Just feels like a different car.
The lift is pretty much bang on 50mm front and back and it gives the car a much tougher stance.
We're off to Narbethong in the morning for a play on the tracks around there so will give it a good workout and report back.
A couple of before and after photos. They're a bit hard to see the extent of the lift as the light was different both days.
The 150 kit from Ultimate usually has blue springs and silver shocks/struts.
They rang me last week to see if I minded black rear springs instead of blue. Same spring, just made for their export market and is black instead of blue. It was either that or wait a few weeks just for blue ones. I was happy to go with black in the rear, you can't easily see the rear springs anyway. The front are easily visible under the guard and look great!
Cheers, Sam.
