Yes, the access is good. Obviously, the doors open only SO wide - (unlike in a van where they slide) but it works. I'm still planning to do a little video that shows the setup better. I have been packing and finding a place for everything I need as I am leaving on a 5 -6 week trip shortly.
There is an Alu Cab and Alu Innovations conversion for the 76 (station wagon) It is relatively new. The 76 is the same size (length) inside the back as the Prado. I think though the 76 might have a slightly higher roof - I stand to be corrected.
If you like - send me your email or WhatsApp number and I will share the videos with you, I don't think anyone else on this forum is interested, so I will send it to you direct

I ve been going around in circles with exactly the same issue. I want the space to be able to "live", boil some water, work from a laptop - and it's only the 78 series which is in the running. But based in Europe- Its only the GRJ7 that’s available (and I ll be damned if I can work out how to get the Tropical diesel version registered with these EU emissions regs. That only leaves the prado.
What you've done is absolutely groundbreaking. And hats off to you. Please don’t hesitate to post more pics, details and how it’s working out. If only i could find someone in the eu to do exactly what you ve done! Bloody good job in any case.

Secondly - if you are tall - the bed is only 2m long, and a single bed. Fortunately, I don't have any of those problems. But the setup really changed my Overlanding and camping experience. for the better.

Walking down the middle of a prado, especially in Australia, seems like a significant challenge. Safety regulations and environmental concerns would likely require engineering approval for such an endeavor.

The environmental concerns especially was a challenge
environmental concerns meaning:
"It is defined as any change or disturbance to the environment perceived to be deleterious or undesirable. Environmental concerns can be defined as the negative effects of any human activity on the environment. The biological as well as the physical features of the environment are included"
