    Aremac's 2010 D4D GXL

    This is our new Prado



    We lost our 2004 V6 Grande in a bingle about two years ago, and after a bit over twelve months in a 2004 3.0l patrol, we've seen the light
    I had forgotten how nice it is to be behing the wheel of one of these. We had looked at getting a 12 month old low KM 120 series but the money they're are commanding is unbelievable, so we decided to get a brand spanker.

    Only a modest little list to start with...

    115ah Dual Battery





    Redarc brake controller (thanks to Digger for the tips)



    And the new boots - BFG A/T 275/65 R17

    Got a few more bits to throw at her yet, more to come when the finances recover

        Nice and shiny, seems a share to get her dirty

        Does the 150 D4D not come with the engine cover the 120 D4D did? I guess there is no top mount intercooler now so no point.

            How have you found the redarc brake controller? currently doing some research for the purchase of a new controller and like the idea of not having the controller in the way

              I've only towed the camper twice with the Prado and redarc but i'm happy with the way it performs.

              The tekonsha i had in the last car would "bite/grab", pulling the back of the car up harsly using the trailer. The redarc seems to be alot smoother even when you have the control wound up.

              It's very neat but it's also nice not to belt my knee on a brake controller anymore.

                        You've got a nice looking right there, the redarc remote unit for the brake controller looks the goods mate!
                        Should have gone black though!

                          Hi Nick,
                          I've never had one on before to compare it to but it is a bit noisy and it took a bit of getting used to at first. It has been handy for carrying bits/pieces and firewood on camping trips. I checked out the deflector at ARB but wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make.
