Re: Cookymonsta Prado 150 GXL
I have used the MARINE stuff on my boat for years (motor, etc) and don't really take much care of the boat, but everything looks like new
Hey Cooky, whats the name of the "Marine" spray you mention? ....Please.
I use a lanolin based spray on my outboard motor, (lanoteck or any other similar type lanolin spray that is on special at the time), and to be honest, the external parts of the outboard motor still look like new after several years salt water use, its fantastic. I was warned many years ago NEVER to use wd40 type sprays on outboards, (or any type of water dispersant spray).... whilst they displace water, and are useful if you get your electrics wet on the car, unfortunately they swell rubber type components, and don't appear to leave a lasting protective layer and only provide short term protection unless you keep applying it...anyway, a lanolin based spray has been great for the Yamaha outboard....but I'm a bit cautious about using it on the prado just yet......I hear that sand may stick to it....
