Good stuff Masso, looks like it will be an ARB 150 vs TJM 150 showdown.

Hehe, if Dave comes along as well I am going to be out numbered...
Looking good Masso, the ARB Deluxe bar in white really suits the 150. What size antenna did you go for, is that a AE4705 with a AE4701 whip in for town driving?
Any chance you can bring your suspension measurements along on Saturday, having some trouble getting mine level due to the KDSS and would like to see what a GXL sits at before and after, only if it is no trouble.
Cheers Daniel

Yep.. thems the antennas! Issue was sorta forced on me as the new version of the ARB Bar sites the antenna on a tab at top of the bar. 120 had it mounted on the main bumper area, so now with he larger whip it doesnt fit int he garage! So solution of interchangeable whips was concocted...seems like its ok, and will keep the larger one for trips. And no probs, will bring suspension specs as well. Actually did a spring change as first ones were really tail up... probably good for load carrying... but most work is commuting... so went for the softer ones. Still no news on the grandson front... so fingers crossed...

Thanks Rick, appreciated. I am changing the rear coils in mine tomorrow for the same reason, mine is sitting up way to much in the rear (especially passenger side) and its forcing the front drivers side down, I am going to put in a standard height heavy duty and hope that it fixes it. I love the KDSS but I am getting close to taking to it with a hacksaw! FIngers crossed it will fix it.
On our bar the antenna sits right in front of my wife, so I am thinking I may do the same as yours for around town stuff and just put a bigger whip on for a trips away.
Hope to see you Saturday, Cheers Daniel

Know the feeling of HAPPY WIFE- HAPPPY LIFE.....the comment on the first UHF whip was.... "whats that BIG DONGA THING???" so this is an improvement there! Also the guys fitted the UHF to the passenger side under dash.... yikes... she would KILL me once it started squarking... so a quick modification of an extension speaker back over " my side" ..has hopefully cured that one! (a good reason not to buy a Patrol... snorkel is on passenger side...so no WAY i could get away with that one! ) PHEW!

Looks good Masso. Can you post a couple of close up photos of your mudflap extensions and how you mounted them? Can't see any bolt heads from the back which looks nice and neat compared to my effort.
Cheers, Sam.

Mudflap install as per below pics... turned out ok , using 300mm wide 6mm insertion rubber from Clark Rubber and some 25mm x 3mm Aluminium Strip. Attached with bolts through original plastic flaps and rubber extensions. Alumin Strip used on both sides to clamp rubber to plastic. Process was to take off original flaps and fit up extensions using small g-clamps then place back on car to get shape correct, but just needed to round bottom edges and left extensions at 300mm wide.
used original holes on plastic flaps, and added another hole in centre of plastic flap to hold top.. then the three holes on bottom through the strip. Original flaps held on with mainly screws which were re-used, but one plastic punch clip replaced witha bolt and nut. Notations on photos might be a bit small to see... sorry about that!
