AS IT IS NOW !


When I first got it !


Tinted, sidesteps and third row seats removed in this pic already.

Came with the ecb bullbar and sagged 2 inch lift, 265/75r16 goodyear all terrains and no accessories at all, other than a shovel mount, floor mats and cargo mat !

Wait for next post going to get pics of stuff i have done so far in order of when i did them.

first thing i did was ditch the standard radio and 6 stacker and installed this alpine media center head unit. The third thing i did is also shown in this picture, for my birthday i got a GME uhf radio which i installed in the random space below the dash.



Here is how the aerial is mounted. Where i have mounted it means i can keep it on all the time and still go in to those nasty undercover car parks



also for my birthday i received this awesome pair of Britax spotlights, they are awesome and look great

next thing i did was install these heavy duty king springs and longer dobinson struts to make the car sit nice and level



after that i installed this reverse lamp, which i will be replacing with led bumper lights in the near future.



and the latest mods which are waiting for a set of 285/70 r17 BFG km2's are a full set of 17*9 mickey thompson classic II's

replaced both the knock sensors with updated toyota ones, has made a massive difference to the running of my prado. The first of these VJZ95's had knock sensors that where to sensitive and it was always throwing itself into safe mode.

Next trick i will be performing is replacing all my front cv boots (inners have split grr) and replacing my axle seals while it's all apart because my luck would suggest if i don't they will leak :P

I finished installing a 12 inch sony sub in a box to complete my stereo system.
I now have:
Alpine type s splits in the front doors
Alpine type r 6,1/2 inches in the rear doors
an MTX amp and 12 in sub in the cargo area

SNORKEL !!! that my lovely girlfriend got me for Christmas !

Installed it boxing day, couldn't wait. WAS very scary drilling and using a jigsaw on my guard I'll tell you that.

safari snorkels are fantastic, all the materials where of fantastic quality and the instructions where very very straight forward, fitted perfect straight away.

just ordered a front diff drop for piece of mind, going to put 80 series front coils in the rear and extend the bump stops. as far as the front goes i'm trying to work out ways to get that half an inch extra that i want for going 285's anyone have any ideas on what coil i could go ?

Bilstein height adjustable shocks shocks and lovells HD springs. GH4WD runs them in his and he has the shocks on the lowest setting and his rig still sits pretty high.

yeah not keen on going a whole new set of struts, got brand new dobinsons and keen to keep the down travel i have limited by the struts so that i am not putting to much stress on the ball joints etc.

thinking i will just need a 1/2 Inch strut spacer, trying to find someone that makes them, probably make them myself of not when i get my car back from the panel beater i will check out my options. That should in theory make it sit level with 80 series fronts as rear springs.

anyone have any idea what extended link pins i can use for my front and rear sway bars ??

very very excited to get my car back tomorrow
