G'day fellas, sorry about the delay with the report. I've been busy and when I'm not, it's raining (ask Brett). We met up on Wednesday so I could sell him my cargo mat and it started bucketing down.
Brett, it was a shame. Bloody Melbourne whether! We'll have to meet up some other day. Interested in hearing more about your trout fishing expeditions. Might even look at getting into it myself.
Melbo! How's it going buddy? I saw your rig about 2 weeks ago on Dunnings road driving towards point cook town. I was driving on the other side, I beeped and waved, not sure if you saw me as you've got dark tinted windows. Could have been your wife haha. She's probably wondering why some random was beeping and waving at her haha.
On another note, I'm picking up a rhino alloy tray tomorrow.
I'll try to have pics and a couple videos up next weekend. No promises though as I've got to prep for a camping trip also!
CheersWilliam

Anytime mate (except next weekend............ damn work).
Happy to show you the ropes and happended to pick up a few more lures today (Love Ray's 26 % off sale) so I have plenty of gear, spare rods and reels and may even have a set of waders to fit?
How about we head to the back of the King river/ Buffallo Dam area and see what your car can do?
Quite a few small river crossings and a few fishing oportunites along the way. Here is a clip I did with a friend of mine a couple of years back.

Hey buddy, nice video. That's certainly somethin different to what I'm used to doing. Might take you up on it once you get your rig up and running If you have the time, you should really come on pradopoint chat at 8pm Mondays.
The Toyota alloy tray arrived today. It's basically a Rhino tray with a Toyota sticker on it. It came flat packed and took me about two hours to get it all together and onto the car. I managed to get it to pair with my existing set of Thule Aerobars. It was a pain to get on, so I can't imagine taking it on and off all the time. I think this will remain a permanent fixture to the Prado. Sayonara 2.1m underground carparks...
I took some snaps but it was too dark to take pics of it fitted. It's nothing special anyway, you've all seen what they look like.
Plans... just the standard for now:
- To see if I can still fit the side awning. Looks like I'll have to shave a bit off the original bracket.
- Shovel holder is a must
- Possibly some lights.
Took it for a drive on the freeway, noise/drag feels minimal. Very happy with the product.Last edited by William; 15-06-2012, 09:37 AM.William

Time for some bling. Swapped the wheels out for some gloss black speedy chariots. Matches well with the gloss black and chrome bar and a good contrast against the white. Would still like some procomps but can't find a legal configuration.
Prado on a hoist.
Back home on one of them Melbourne days - dark and gloomy.
Close up.
Just a heads up for those thinking of getting a set. I had all 5 swapped only to find the chariot didn't fit on the spare wheel bracket. The reason for this is because of a recess at the centre cap. No big deal, but then I was stuck with one chariot rim. Found it a new home after I gave my mate Mr GXL a call, who has just upgraded to a VX last week and is looking for a set of 17"s. Met up with him shortly after and took a snap with his pearl white rig which is going to get some work done to it next week. Can't wait to go fishing this winter!

While I've got my phone connected, here are a few pics from a trip we had last month.
It was raining down in Melbourne but it was beatiful up on the Murray.
Launched the boat and went for a flick. A mate of ours picked up a 3kg yella, the biggest I've seen from around here.
Boy was it cold at night. We found a big hollow log and chopped it up. It made for an awesome chimney and of course a flame spectacle.
Started raining in the morning of the day we were leaving so we made a quick dash to retrieve the boat. All packed and ready to go home.
