MANNELL MOTORS 150 KAKADU

G'day Giles. Do you guys do under body protection for the 150? I have a TJM sump guard but it doesn't fit the petrol 150 so im trying to find an alternative.

Hi Giles, as per my build up thread, I was wondering how many days it would take Mannel Motors to fit an ARB Sahara bar, OME suspension, ARB Compressor and rear air locker.

Hey Sam,

Brown Davis make one which fits both Petrol and Diesel.
It protects Radiator,Intercooler,Sump Diff and Steering. It also has Oil drain access as well.
They are $451 (plus freight) but because your In Victoria you are best calling them and maybe popping in to grab one.
By far the the best bet for the 150 ATM.
For everyone in sydney i can get these easily.

No not a big confidence booster at all. In the end regardless everyone makes mistakes and none of us a bullet proof... Its how you deal with the problem that is the main thing.
A good end product is so important.

Our 3" Exhaust is bolt on, no cutting or welding.

New verses old dump pipe and engine pipe



New verses old centre muffler



Old verses new tail pipes



Dump pipe installed with thread for Pyro if required





Engine pipe and flexible joint installed







Centre muffler lines up well with the heat shield








And finished !!!



Goes great and these are available NOW !

Hi Giles,
I am sure the pics of your rig will inspire yet more of us to part with the hard earned and imitate the Kakadu's build!
I have a two part question.
First, as I too have the Steinbauer module, some more details of the Humex exhaust would be welcome. Such as power/torque increase, driveability, NOISE, and whether the Steinbauer needs to be tweaked to optimise results.
Second, your under seat mounted compressor.
What is it bolted to?
I imagine the airline to front diff, plus wiring harness, must run along the centre console, then through firewall at front of dash passenger side?
For those considering F & R lockers, is this still feasible? Seems to run counter to accepted ARB practice. Would be nice to keep the compressor away from the under bonnet crud.

Hey Greg,

1) The Steinbauer can be tweaked to suit the exhaust which is not a problem.
Not really much more info i can provide at the moment on the exhaust,i don't have the exact spec sheets yet but why what we can feel it's
made a big difference.

2) The ARB compressor is Bolted to the Floor
The Air Line goes through the floor via a gromet
The harness runs to the kick panel,along the trim where the door is,up and through the dash into the engine bay!
