    Hi all,

I've been following the good work done by you guys for a while now, but never got around to adding some of my own.

I started with a 2009 GXL manual diesel. With the release of the 150 series just around the corner, I got the last one in WA with metalic paint. It was delivered with the factory bull bar, towbar, headlight & bonnet protectors, rubber mats & Airtec snorkel.

Soon after I added the UHF. Pics of install below. The pointless factory top rails have been removed & replaced with Toyota's 3 bar commercial set to accomodate the board.

Have built a rear draw incorporating a 120aH AGM battery, RANOX charger & extra power outlets. The main criteria to work around here was that 1 of the 3rd row seats still had to be able to be put in when required & the fridge also had to be able to fit in with the extra seat in place. This basically set the dimensions of it. Some pics of the final fit up below. The finished product is a bit further on. Also got heaps of the building for those intrested, but not yet uploaded.

On board air has been added under the bonnet. With the aux battery in the rear, I put the compressor in the space upfront. An extra air outlet was also run to the rear of the vehicle for the trailer. I tend to use this one the most now. It's easier than popping the bonnet & dragging a hose across the engine

Front & rear diff breathers have been extended, as has the transfer case. I found the gearbox breather, but cant work out how this can be removed without dropping the box, so unless someone can shed light here, it remains factory. Have left room in the manifold if it happens.

Like everyone still heaps to do, just not enough hours or $

    Dave

Nice work Dave ... I'm actually on the drawing board now with some removable draws and fridge mount for our ZR.
Keep the mods coming you might give me an idea or two.

Shame about all that red dust in Karratha

    Cheer Mike

        Looks great !
I like the idea of a half draw system in the back. Did you make that? You could put my fridge on top & still use one of the rear seats.

          Hi Dave
Welcome to the Prado Point Family.
Nice vehicle mate and good work on the mods so far.
I can tell by the quality of work on the compressor and breathers that you must be a chimney sweep by trade, Lol.

. Yeah made it myself with that idea in mind. We've got a 38l engel that sits up there when we go travelling. Would be a bit hard to remove the drawer quickly to 2 back row seats, but knew that up front & have never had the need to anyway. 1 extra seat still does go in occassionly however & there is no complaint from the kids about sitting next to it . Got to get some better pics of the final job to load up when I get the chance. Am very happy with the finsihed product. will try & get some more up in the next few days.

                Thanks Troy,
Its mostly stainlees steel instrument tubing & swage lock fittings. 1/2" nylon tubing was used for the long run through the chasis rail to the rear. Breathers are the same just a smaller bore. Reckon you cant beat the look of stainless especially when you can get the parts easily. When building it I was actually fretting over using the couple of brass fitttings due to "spoiling the look", (much to someone else in the houses disbelief), but am over it now!!!

                  Pics of UHF install.

I bought the unidan UH400SX-RM. As it had the remote handset, I've put the main unit in the centre console. Fits in nicely & is out of the way. Was initially a little concerned about heat build up, but it isnt an issue. The aircon is always on in the Pilbara. Power is supplied from new fuse box in rear. This is way its on main battery with ignition on & aux when keys out.

Ive run the cabling for the handset under the centre console & it plugs into one of the blank slots in front of the gearstick. It just lies there for now as never got round to mounting it up on the dash.

The airial lead is run back along the bar & mostly hidden. The cable runs down inside that black cover & then lays nicely in the seam where the bar was folded

                    Pics of finished drawer

Just been out & took some pics of my finished drawer:
I've mounted my RANOX charger, fuse box, circuti breakers, relays etc on a shelf to fill in the void along the wheel arch. At the back of the shelf is storage room for a tyre repair kit, air hose & a few other its & pieces. All this is hidden by a removeable panel. The aux battery is also accessed via a removeable panel.
