yeah i was originally going to use a blank, but then i realised that it would have meant a lot of filing and the locknut still might not have fit. So for the sake of ease, i just plowed a 13mm hole through the trim.
i got the button of ebay from an aussie seller called tech advantage, the lights come in all different colours but i decided on green cause it matches the dash lights the best.
Little tip if you go on ebay to look for one, just make the sure switch contacts are rated for 12VDC as well as the LED.
there were heaps on ebay that only the LED was rated for 12V and the switch was rated for 230VAC.

So i have nearly finished the power to the rear.
Ended up with an 80A breaker from the battery feeding a baintech 6 way fused distribution block in the rear with a 8mmsq cable. From here so far i have only run one cct for a normal 12V outlet, and a baintech voltmeter. I also have a merit socket coming for the fridge. which leaves me with 4 spare cct's. I'll eventually run some lighting, probably look at some of that LED strip stuff.









Hopefully have some more goodies after the 4WD show this weekend!

drawers and fridge slide

well, finally got the call from arb that the outback drawers and MSA fridge slide had rocked up from when i ordered them at the 4wd show, being the thrifty chap i thought i was, i thought i would have a crack at installing these myself. No dramas!! untill i found i had been provided with the wrong instruction manual, so a few calls to arb later and i had the right set of instructions. Much easier after that, turn out you have to drill right through the floor. slide went in piece of cake
Anyways here we go. Pic of drawers and fridgerator slide.

Also have chucked on Brains TG150 guard but i'm sure everyone has seen enough pics of that fine piece of engineering.

I actually had made several calls to the chaps at superior, but as soon as i mentioned that it was a vx with KDSS, they got very short with me and told me "no it is impossible with the KDSS because it stuffs up the computer...".

When i asked MR's about it they admitted they had never done one before but were more than happy to try. Which was the type of can do attitude which is rare, i think his words were "if the yanks can do it on their trucks, we shouldn't have a problem".
It's perfect, the front has sagged a little bit, but i just need to get around to tweaking that a bit. But Definitely no computer issues, so i'm pretty sure that story was me just getting thrown into the too hard basket.
