Hi Guys,
Long time reader. I thought i best put together a thread with my mods.
Stock GXL With Arb bull bar and IPF 900XS Spotlights. The two antenna's are RDI CD2195 6.5DB Next G Phone Antenna and a RFI CD 5000 5DB Uhf Antenna.
My first mod was an Engel MR40F to keep the drinks cold while on the road. I then needed a set of drawers. I tried to build some but failed in a big way. I ended up getting a custom made set done at the local cabinet maker for $450 which i thought was a steal.
With work i travel away from home alot and i needed something to keep my engel running all the time. I didn't want to go down the path of sticking another battery under the hood so i stuck a 80amp hour gel in a battery box that sit's on my drawers. It's charged via the Redarc BCDC 1220. I have installed a low voltage cut out @ 12V to keep my battery in good shape.
I have also installed a 8" slimline sub under the drivers seat. To add some low end into the factory sound system.
Up front i have a GME TX 3420. With a iridium 9555 mounted close by for emergency comunications. I have also installed a Nokia Car kit with a Cradle for my mobile phone. As well as a cradle for my iphone which dubs as my GPS with TomTom and i have the VMS off road GPS app.
For shoes i run the bridgestone D964LT Tyres and they preform great with my mix of country highway and drit driving.
Future mods: Replace with a 150 GXL!
