Haven't posted for a while now so thought i would update things a little, like i said in the beginning its going to take a while so in addition to my previous mods i have fitted a CAT electronic rust protection kit & a set of 275/65/17 Bridgestone Dueller D697 118s, the tyres are nice and quiet on the freeway and not yet had it off road with them so can't comment of that yet, Next step is sandgrabbas, seat covers & ironman foam cell performance lift kit.. If you have any suggestions on the seat covers for me i would love to hear about it... Cheers Brett

Hey mate looks great. My first Prado picked up 2 weeks ago 2009 Silver GXL. Would have loved yours but had to start somewhere.
Just fitted a ful set of SandGrabbas and they rock.
Seat covers i posted a thread in the 120 section under General. Got heaps of responses if you want to get an idea.
I'm leaning towards the MSA covers for now just getting costs. Ouch.

Howdy, yeh our car is mainly used for long trips so want to go something comfy I've been told the canvas covers can get irritating if sat on for long periods of time. Been looking at the ones on Ebay there made from micro fibre and don't look too bad. Friend of ours put a set on his 2011 pajero and said there really comfy and resistant against spills. See how we go i wouldn't mind a set of "WETSEATS"...

          Hi Brett,

I have a silver 150 also. I bought and fitted the seat covers from Ebay and I'm very happy with them. I have sheepskins on the front seats and the ebay covers on the rest they look factory and a lot of people dont even realise they are seat covers. Had them for over 12months and they are wearing well.

Are you happy with the performance of your HID headlights? Where did you get them from and how much did they set you back? I'm thinking about upgrading mine but I don't want to blind people in oncoming traffic. Do you get many people flash you?

Good Luck with the Build Gordon

Hi Gordon, Going to order the wetseat seat covers seen them installed and look the treat. In regards to the hid upgrade i used genuine philips kit for the low beam, the kit cost me $250 and installed it myself. Never had a problem with people flashing me as with the GXL you can set the hight of the low beams so i have mine set as 1.5 - 2 and never had a problem and light up the road very nicely.
