His awning bracket would make it well above 2.0metres??
http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ckdown-feature
I like the versatility of the knock down awning bracket as I have an awning.
Have not crossed the desert yet but would like to one day!!! Thanks
Edit..looks like it's too short after reviewing the dimensions..shame I'd thought about buying one? Gunna have to buy a special flag now for each sand outing/trip??

Now I'm not sure that justifies the visitor fees, but it's just another example of selfish idiots ruining things for everyone.

Just wondering why a Red/Orange flag is recommended. It doesn't stand out well in a red sandy desert. The Red/White Blue Aussie flag contrasts with the red sand very well.
Seriously, a red and blue flag would contrast with both sand and sky. But as usual big brother dictates what we should do and any better ideas we may have are squashed. Specify the minimum size and height but why the colour?Greg - 08 D4D Prado,

When you go up dunes the sand flag usually has the sky as the background, hence the orange colour being the most common colour, and now the mandated one.

We had our mounted on a roof bar last time across which gave the overall required height

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
