Is it possible to post a video clip on the site (I'm sure I've seen some)? I have a battery tip that members might find interesting. I have the clip on Photobucket but was wondering how to insert it into a thread.

Re: Posting Video clips
With photobucket you should have a URL line if you hover over your videoclip, right click copy the URL line and paste into this thread. If its as handy as you say so, looking forward to seeing it

So getting the video clip from photobucket to the post is easy, but I am having issues getting the video onto photobucket.
Is it normal to take 2-3 hours to upload a 2 minute video from my gopro to photobucket? I have tried on 2 different computers and both are about the same, so I am assuming it is because of my toatally crap internet connection, but then after I post the video I can download it and watch it in real time.
The 2-3 hours isn't such an issue but my computer turns itself off before the upload is done, unless I am using it regularly for the whole time, when I restart the computer there is no way to restart the upload that I can see!
Any suggestions.

AJ, the go pro records in HD. I think but don't exactly know how, that you have to upload at a lower resolution. It also helps if you have ADSL 2 rather than that dial up unit run by a hand generatorBitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

The last video I uploaded on the Madigans thread was a bit over 2 minutes, 240Mb and is an MP4! does that make it in HD? is 240Mb a lot? How exactly do I make it a lower resolution?
I use Mpeg streamclip to edit the video but I am not sure if I can change the resolution with this.
Oh and we do get a bit better than pedal powered dial up out here in the bush. No ADSL available though so its wireless broadband with almost no signal

Yes thats a lot for 2 minutes of video. To confuse you more mate the teenagers are telling me that an hour of "rendered" video can be as little as 100 Mb???? Don't ask Andrew, I have no idea.... That's why you have Trish and I have Lea.Bitumen: A blatant waste of taxpayers money!

Upload speed is usually much slower than downloads. Also, photobucket might be doing some conversions from your format into something smaller so it doesn't take up so much space on their servers.
When you watch it back, it is the compressed version that you are watching. Therefore it looks like it is buffering much faster. That and the faster download speed of your internet connection.
