    Is that Greek.
Looks ok but it will keep Babelfish busy translating

Sorry its not Greek its Russian. Trying too make sense of the translations makes good reading.
Much like the old Japanese motorcycle manuals of the 70's.

But what do you have with the controls? The machine of one-and-a-half year was taken ago, [restaylingovaya] the path of almost 60 [tk] so the skin on the control in the places of gallant lost places color it would become as if rubbed. it went the day before yesterday to OD he thought they will send there is no type natural wear by AN today they rang they convey new control. Here interestingly and as they will relate to the light worn-out condition on the driver seat (from jeans surely) and [sidlo] new will suddenly propose. To ask in this time the impudence was not sufficient. Let they go away from the control

I'm now embarresed to admit to owning a Lada Niva in the early 90's.

Was always fun trying to make head and tails from a poorly translated Russian service manual.

That would have been a bit of fun though. short wheelbase, live axles, coils. pretty solid little 4wds weren't they? or did they break down heaps?

It was a cheap fun car for a few years and more than capable off road. To the amazement of many I even recovered many much larger vehicles.

Mechanically it was fine, simple to work on but was really attractive to rust. All the fixtures were cheap and nasty, things like door handles and nobs broke and fell off. Leaked like a Sieve when it rained.

Bit choppy with the short wheel base but better than a Suzuki.

Couldn't believe it came with a hand crank and mechanical pump in the tool kit.
                  Heard all the lada jokes.
