        *cough* --> lundi 22 janvier 2007

        The top Prado in the 2010 event looks like car 373 (a 120) in place 41, with car 415 another Prado 120 right behind it.

        The best placed Toyota was a 200 series (car 341) in place 17

        Full results here

        Volkswagen rules in places 1,2,3 with the Race Touareg 2 (diesel) until they decide to stop pouring cash into the effort.

            Re: Photos of a 120 in the Dakar Rally

            I don't think this was in the 2010 event. The date at the top clearly reads Monday, January 22, 2007. Dosn't matter if that is in English of French it's still 2007. The second photo is a dead give away

            Another thing, Dakar 2010 was in South America (http://www.dakar.com/2010/DAK/presen...-parcours.html) as it was in 2009, 2010 and will be in 2011. I recall reading or hearing that some parts of North Africa that the pass through where becoming too dangerous. The photos are very much North Africa

            The results for 2007 are: http://www.dakar.com/2007/DAK/LIVE/u...ement/CGA.html. They were vehicle 325 and finished as the 32nd carn and took a total of 62:51:55 which was 16:58:18 slower than the winner in the car category.

            The following is a link to their team page and stage rankings: http://www.dakar.com/2007/DAK/RIDERS...ipage/325.html

            They took the following route: http://www.dakar.com/2007/DAK/presen...docs/carte.pdf so it can help visulise which countries each of the photos are in. Looks fantastic and is on the list of places I would love to visit.

            Just finishing that race is worth celebrating so it dosn't matter if you are first or last, stand on the roof of your car and shake up the fizz.

              Yes Phil and Nick, you are correct...2007 it is. Didn't even notice when I first looked through the pics. :roll:

              It was recently telecast on SBS.. shame they concentrate the coverage on the high end teams and vehicles.

                Re: Photos of a 120 in the Dakar Rally

                Was holidaying in South America during the start of the year when to my surprise and delight I discovered the Dakar was in town, I couldn't help myself so I went to check out the cars pre-race (girlfriend wasn't too impressed). Anyways I couldn't believe how many Prado's there were, so I took a couple photos. Favourite was the 3 door Prado, looks the part.
