Prados....Safe As Houses.

Tones120... long time lurker and a member since march and my good friend who put me onto pradopoint walked away from this head on with semi last weekend. It was about 2am and the truck aquaplaned into his lane somewhere past geralton. He was driving and he had a mate in the passenger seat. His wife and 3 month old were in the back. Poor bub broke his collarbone (could have been much worse had it not have been for the quality baby seat) and his wife suffered some pretty severe internal injuries, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The prado and the truck were written off, but incredibly no loss of life.
Granted some of this may be sheer luck, but i know it makes me feel a hell of a lot more comfortable driving mine around.

Gee thats pretty impressive work by the crumple zones of the Prado. Even with the bullbar on it still worked well and protected the occupants.
I have never really thought about the capability of Prado in a head on before.

Hope all occupants are recovering well.

Good thing those drill rods were secure on the back of the semi as well.

Scary stuff....would be a very different outcome if it was a small vehicle instead of the Prado. Airbags did their job by the looks.

Damn that's a nasty one. Glad all parties survived and I hope for a good speedy recovery. The prado stood up really well as I would expect thank god.

Thats a massive hit. Amazing anyone was able to walk away. Hope the bub and drivers wife heal quickly. Lucky they were in a decent sized car.

Crikey! Engine bay aside it amazing how intact the Prado is after a head on with a loaded semi.

I can only imagine what the stains on the seat must be like, I certainly would have s*#t myself if i was in it.

Hopefully the prognosis for everyone stays good and all heal quickly.

Crumple zone is amazing, didn't expect that with a ladder chassis. I assume the rear passenger got internal injuries from the seat belt, hopefully she recovers okay.
