      Ain't that the truth Kav. The preferential system is ridiculous. It should count only as 1 vote. If the candidate doesn't get in, then the vote goes in the bin. That's the way it should be.

        Then you get a govt voted in with more voting against them than voted for them, as frequently used to happen in NZ. That pushed them into the rediculous voting system they now have.

        I think we have the best voting system posible in a democracy (apart from me deciding for everyone)

          True - but the party that gets on has the largest proportional vote. I believe a system like this might bring about a more honest government.

                              hey i watched a show on the ABC last night called at home with julia . piss funny ,absolutely takes it out of jules and timmy . seems to be on at 9.30 on wednesdays . give it a run , if you like this thread you'll probably enjoy it .
