Quite a few years ago I was on the computer at home and my daughter, aged 10, asked if she could paint my toe nails, I didn't remember saying yes but she did, bright pink.
The next day I was running late for work, I quickly got dress, grab my socks and steelcapped boots, jumped in the car and went to work. I was a truck driver.
I pulled up at work and found I only had 1 very old wornout sock. Wearing steelcaps with no socks can be painful so I thought if I could cut the sock in half I could protect me feet a little and I would call in home on my run to grab another pair of socks.
Well I had nothing to cut the socks with so I went into the office to get some sissors. To get to the office I had to walk thru the meal room where 10 - 15 blokes were sitting.
Only 1 bloke seen my brightly painted toes, but his laughter soon made sure ALL the other blokes saw my toe, I tell ya that was very embarrassing.
My wife and daughters also got a big laught out of it as well.
