  • I blame Pradopoint AKA Dave's Damper Disaster

At the GTG we were fortunate to receive some of Xtremecookings lovely damper mix, so being at a loose end (i.e. didn't want to do any of the chores around the house) I though why not make one up.

I decided to do the Pumpkin & Chive so fired up the heat beads, dragged out the camp oven, mixed up the damper when the oven was hot and away we went.

Trouble is I thought, 20 minutes or so to kill, I'll cruise Pradopoint and that was my undoing. After about 45 minutes my son asked me what was burning......Ben asked me if I was trying to forge a cannonball.

Second time round, the Italian Herb, with proper supervison, was a winner with all.

    Sorry Renee!

    Cheers,

    Dave

Nice work with the second attempt Dave, nothing like some good home made damper!
Did you use a bottle of coopers pale ale as the active ingrediant?

Brilliant Fozzy! PradoPoint has a lot to answer for.

Of course you broke off the burnt bits and ate the rest...

How appropriate that you posted this in the PP campfire section

Don't worry Dave, your not the first person to burn the food because of a "quick" look at PP.

        Cheers Andrew

So the "how many beers" timer works better then the "quick check of PP" timer
            Cheers, Leon

              Snaga

In the bad old days of non responsible driving (young pups such as yourself won't know of this) trips were measured in stubbies not miles (again not kilometers). A 2 hour journey was a 6 pack, and amazingly along the side of the road there were traditional middens of the offending vessels at the same place.

Long live technology, Richo. (Old fart)
