December 2010 GXL - 112,000km

Had 2 pistons, some injectors and other bits replaced at 42,000km though...

Some evidence the 150's are not so much better than the 120's D4D (destined 4 disaster)

I think Hutch s right here, the petrols are really good. As are most decent brand petrol engines.
Over the years, I can't really see any evidence a diesel lasts any longer with the same oil changes & maintenance.
Diesels definitely have the problems.

Yes I have a diesel for now, as most of this vehicles use is 4x4, need the economy/range/decel for slippery decents offroad & touring. If it was a toorak tractor, school bus, family vehicle, it would be petrol.

Funny you say that. Now that I have had mine for several weeks, I'm realising thats its been a long time since I have owned a vehicle that I actually really like and enjoy driving.

Every time I see a new or near new Navara diesel go past me blowing black smoke I say to myself I'm glad I have the Prado.

Almost 150,000 now, and seems like only three weeks ago I had the 140k service done. Lots of driving for work, glad they're paying...

90 series 3.4 auto
370,000 and nothing major has ever gone wrong. Actually... nothing apart from the normal consumables has gone wrong (until a speed hump jumped out in front of me yesterday) Given that nothing has gone wrong and I'm at 370 thou.... I'm gettin' nervous! It's gonna be a big one when something happens.

2005 GXL Auto - 201,000.

Bought it at 197,000 so fairly new for us, but still runs smoothly. Nice and quiet and nothing abnormal picked up in an inspection so hoping for another 200,000kms!!
