Anyone know how you measure Rims ? basically I'm selling 2 rims and their not stamped and measure 14 inch across, I'm told that means their 13's is that right ?
    thanks in advance ,

I thought if the rims weren't stamped or had the details cast in then they weren't legal to be used? Happy to be corrected on that but I had a mate have the same problem with wheels a few years ago.

                Yes,

The rim diameter is measured where the tyre sits inside the rim,

To check it, if your wheel external measurement is 14 inches then the tyre land or seat should be half an inch below.

Not sure why you needed to start another thread to pose your question again? continuing in the existing thread would have done the job.

                  Cheers Andrew

Apologies for the rule break it was not intended, the reason I reposted was I got a diagram which meant absolutley nothing to me so I thought that was all I was getting from general discussion and so asked again here, I really just wanted an answer to the question not a drawing or anything to do with the legallity of the rims just a simple yes or no but it didn't happen so thats why I did it again here, phew, glad thats of my chest.............BTW this is tounge in cheek not a dig merely an explanation.
