A little red Yaris keeps us in the Toyota family. We are car pooling between my wife and I at the moment and saving money hand over foot. I have bought out my lease, changed jobs, damn, I notice the difference with not having to do 25000 km per year. The Yaris is now the family car in the city!

This is my daily ride, the billion dollar Commodore baby, it is a V6 calais and after 12 months it has done 35000klms and it rattles, clunks and it is noiser and rougher than the prado, i would rather drive the prado as i do when ever i can.

Hutch, no fair that is my exact car! Same colour and like the pic, mine has the V8. Starting to rue the day that I bought a black car though :cry: and I though the Prado got dirty!

This is my daily driver. The bra is only on for trips west of the Great Divide but this is the only photo I can find at the moment. Contrary to Hutch's experience this is the best car (car not vehicle) I have ever had. A few minor niggles early on but all resolved. To be expected I guess as this was one of the first E series on the road in Queensland. Absolutely love it. Can be a great consumer of PULP and tyres though. ops:



Other than this and the D4D are a Kubota tractor, 15kph flat out and a nice little Norco cross country bicycle. Gave up on motorised two wheelers when we moved to the big smoke a few years back.

My work ute is a 92 hilux 2.8 D which I purchased brand new from Coburg Toyota and its still going strong. Has lots of mods but the smartest thing I had done to it was powder coat the steel tray, it still looks great and brickies utes do get the rough treatment. I curse the 4 inch lift kit every time I put the mixer on the back.
The wife drives a new Mazda 2 runs all day on a tiny snort of ULP.
The Prado is for weekend trips and I check the P.O. Box a couple of times a week in it.

Other drive/ride

Our other drive is a Holden VE SS 6sp manual Ute - in Atomic Green of course!!! My ride is a Honda VTR1000F Firestorm in red and hubby's is a Honda CBR1100X Super Blackbird in black.

If we're not driving, we're riding!

I am flying over to Brissy on Wednesday to pick up another car. It is a 2006 Hyundai Getz 5 door 1.6ltr auto. We need a shopping cart and a run to work car due to my new position being a on-call position.

Picked it up cheap and it has remainder of new car warranty till 2011, it has 40,000 k's on the clock.

I was going to get one here from the dealer but the so called great deal of $11,990.00 turned into a shade over 15,000 for a 3 door manual once dealer delivery and stamp duty etc were paid.

Picked up the 5 door auto for $12,000 on the road.

So I will be driving it back to Alice starting on Thursday next week. I will be going from Brissy to Cobar via Tamworth, then Friday will be Cobar to Port Augusta, the Saturday will be P.A. to Alice.

Good job I like long haul driving. :lol:
