All righty. Time for my first stuck photo!

We went to Kal for Christmas and took my boy and nephews out motorbike riding on Hannans lake and of course I couldn't help myself and had to have a play in MUMSRIG.

Hannans lake was where I had competed in the Kalgoorlie Gymkhana with my bombed Rangie. Came third overall too.

Tyre pressures were at 45PSI when I checked them, as they were set for the Hwy and were hot. Mind you I only checked them after I got bogged and then dropped the pressures but it was all too late then ops:

So I thought I would go through one of the sections that used to be the Mud Hole and was full of water back in the day. It looked pretty dry and crusty but of course under all that crust was clay! This stuff would have been perfect for making a Vase out of!!

The father inlaw was on hand with the BT50 and took great pleasure in offering to snatch me out  The kids loved it too.

Things got a bit sticky over the weekend, on our annual Marroning trip.
I had to snatch a Rodeo thru this the day before, but on way back, I was pulled thru by a Prado.
Its just sticky, puggy muck that creates a suction under your car and grabs you

I didnt have to step up far to get in the ute. Sitting on diffs ops:

Yep, the tow hitch is nearly dragging

Fortunately I was able to brush plenty of tee tree shrubs on way home, and clean most of it off

But we got a feed of Marron, so was all worth it
        Cheers

Lends to the stories of Patrols being very susceptible to rust issues. Hopefully all ok after a really good clean

Well, not so much embarrased but.................I believe in challenging myself, pushing myself to unknown limits. So, whilst out near Rason Lake (Great Victoria Desert) I found an ideal spot to test man and machine. I was alone. What seemed firm ground, was not so firm. Tyres down to 10psi, maxtrax (if only I had four of the bastards), roo jack, some "found" carpet, 4 hours of digging. 47 degrees, scorching hot wind, 300km from nearest help. Wasn't going to defeat me. They say if you can extract yourself from any situation like this without help then you were never bogged!

Great story Bushbasher and getting yourself out means never having to explain how all that mud got all over the underneath of the rig.

I wonder what the fine would have been had you asked your collegues for help?

You're a braver man than me posting the pictures.

Back in my younger pre-Prado days, I drowned my petrol Hilux in the creek at Goldsborough Valley during the wet season in Cairns ...

We took the plugs out, turned the motor over and were able to drive it home. It's funny to look back on now!

Haha, I did exactly the same thing out near Black Swan in my 75series ute....only....I had my dog with me!

About 2 solid hours of digging and chucking shale rock in my track I finally got myself out.

                                Nah,

should be right. 2 reasons, 1 that's not my bike, and 2, we do that to our bikes on a monthly basis and its not an issue. They just get a pressure clean when we get home and a light spray with wd40 and its all good.

It was a bugger of a morning though. My mate got stuck there about 20mins into the ride, we spent 40mins or so trying to push it out before i gave up and went home to get the car. Nearly got the car stuck a few times trying to get in there, winched him out, VVERY nearly got stuck a few times getting the car out.

Then 2 hours spent having to clean bike and car.
