      BUMP !!!

Good collection of pics happening ... but not enough to make a calendar yet.

Can I get you guys to put in a more concerted effort please ... go out ... get stuck ... and make sure there are witnesses with cameras

Also ... to make my life easier ... and to appease the savage mods  ... can all pics be around the 800x600 size ... it makes formatting of the calendar easier

      Cheers

I'll stick it here just to show, but it's no calendar pin-up. Sorry Chippy.

                I think they were saying:

You idiot! We dug your garden to bits but now you're digging on your own, mate. We're not getting out. And hurry up about it or we'll be late for our dinner

and then hung out the window to offer helpful advice about where to stick the shovel...

I got a photo somewhere of me stuck on the beach at Inskip Point trying to get to the ferry to Fraser Island, but that was in the old Surf (with camper trailer attached).

                  That was pretty embarrassing. ops:

Providence Portal, Lake Eucumbene driving around the "dry" lake bed. It doesn't look like much, but was stuck here for several hours and finally got out after dark.

I tried packing whatever I could find (rocks, twigs, etc) under the wheels, but the Prado just kept sinking further into the mud. It was the kind of mud that was even hard to pull your foot out of as you were walking around because it was so sticky... Finally, with the help of a passer by, we used the spare tyre as a ground anchor in a sandy bit and winched out (even that took quite a few goes because the tyre would just keep being pulled out of the sand).

Here another shot of the mess I had to clean up:

You're right T8 ... it looks fairly harmless ... but it is that super sticky "You're goin' nowhere!" mud. .... and there's a serious shortgage of anchor points to winch from.

Be thankful for passing Good Samaritans

                      Cheers

Reminds me of growing up on a farm near Narrandera, Speedcomm on the forums is my brother and he managed to get dads 75 series cruiser ute bogged in the back yard, it really didn't even look that bad.... so living on a farm you go get a tractor, well the ground was that wet that the 4450 John deere front wheel assist tractor went straight down to the axles without even pulling the slack up, so off and get the Massive, 8 wheel, awd 8850!! chain to tractor, then from tractor to ute, pulled both out without raising a sweat!! im sure there is photos around somewhere of that!!

Not the first time I've seen this happen in Eucumbene, I saw 3 bogs in one day on one fishing trip over at Wallace Island.

Pity about how low the water is though, I remember that same place covered with water 13 years ago.
