  • The Lotto Win 4x4

Ok lets chuck sensibility out the door. if you won lotto , and i don't mean some piddling little coupla million, i mean , hey i don't know what to do with this much cash kind of win , and you need a new 4x4 . What would you purchase , im talkin silly stuff not oh i would build a GQ with a 350 chev on gas . im thinking of a Lamborghini Murcielago with an 8 inch lift . after all its 4wd has a 493kw 6.5 litre v12 with 660nm of torque , limited slip diffs front and rear, 18 inch wheels , traction control , stability control , it even has air conditioning and climate control . perfect for that crossing of the simmo . fuel range and luggage might be a bit compromised ,but hey thats what the support chopper is for . suppose you could always put a roof basket on for carrying firewood . go nuts
    kav .

Where's your low range gears for pushing your custom 315/60/R20 LT Muddies through the rough stuff?

I'll go with an Arab style, blown 4.8 GU Patrol, stroked, fat con rods, forged pistons, everything, +1000KW and don't forget about all the crap needed for rock crawling.

I'm with Declan - supercharged 4.8L Patrol and lots of work, and it'd be my hardcore tourer to replace the Prado. A 6.0L LS2 would be tempting but there's always too many issues with engine swaps.

For proper fun, I'd build one of these:

Just give me my Prado, add a couple of extras that I have not fitted yet and let me spend some time in the bush. The simple things in life.

Same with me, although I'd probably have a lifted and locked F250 to haul my 24 foot Marlin Broadbill from my mansion at Ridgewood Downs outside Brisbane to the bay for a days fishing, then haul it home again and park it in my massive shed next to my classic motorbike collection
2014 Black GXL D4D Auto with a few add ons.

I'd pimp out an ASLAV. Fit custom made supa-peg style awnings, plush interior refit (by bentley or rolls royce) with a kick-arse custom drivers seat for my boney butt, and a king size inner spring matress in the back.

It'll carry the rest of my camping gear strapped to the outside so the haters know i mean business and am not just another Toorak tractor driving soccer mum.

It also offers the benefit of being fitted with a 25mm cannon. Camp near me and play loud music at midnight? BOOM! Park your car across two spaces? BOOM! Tailgate me down the M1? (rotate turret) BOOM!
