Hi
Prices in Germany:
Diesel and Petrol are for the first time now equal at 1,52 Euro.
That´s 2,47 A$.
Streets are not noticeable more emty.
I remember 2004 in WA, we paid around A$ 1,15 and now 50 % more.
This is very hard as in a big country long distances are more common.
Think of a Farmer going shopping.
If I go on offroad-holiday, I now check where petrol is cheap.
So last year I went to Oman where itl is 0.40 A$.
I will soon change to LPG which reduces my yearly diesel cost from A$ 7000 to 3500.
Gas is here at A$ 1,10 and we have about 3500 stations, every month increasing by about 50.
Gas is now the only way affording a 4wheeler. I am not ready for a small car, not yet.
bye

I hate it when major fuel outlets deliberately keep their price up despite fuel prices falling in the hope of catching out unsuspecting drivers.

I almost pulled into a major retail outlet along a main road to fuel up this evening, but noticed that its bowser prices were still high considering I had observed that other outlets all around town had reduced their diesel price by at about 4 cents/L. So I travelled a further 1km down the road and ended up saving 6c/L at another major outlet through their cheaper pricing and by also obtaining a service discount.
You've got to keep a close eye on the prices, otherwise you can easily get caught out.[B][SIZE=4]ntp
