When the workshop bench is full, don't place an oil drain tray full of black diesel oil on a box that is not flat.

I re-learnt today that the day before school starts back after a 6 week break, the kids become unbearable because they a) don't want to go back to school and b) they do want to go back to school.
This indecision causes children to try and make the most of the last day and want to do everything they should have done in these last few hours.

Something I hadn't come across before... With all the wind and rain yesterday, we had all the windows closed. At around 9pm last night one of our smoke detectors went off ( standard batt operated jobbie) and then about an hour later one of our detectors that is hard wired into the security sys went off. That same one went off again at 3am....
Never new that these things could be triggered by high humidity... Must be a specific type of detector as I can't imagine them being any good up in the tropics (FNQ, NT etc...)
