To occasionally check the woven braided pipe that runs from your water return to the kitchen taps (Mixer). Despite being a relatively new house the pipe has paped itself so woken up near midnight to a water feature in my kitchen!! Think we caught it early enough, will have to wait to see how the particleboard units stand up over the next few weeks. On removing there were tell tale signs that is was going like the stainless steel fittings turning rusty(??) and general rust/tardiness throughout the material, the underneath rubber was letting go/perishing!! I learnt that it is advisable to check the length of the par 4 BEFORE selecting a club and teeing off. I watched my drive climb over the green and to adventures not restricted to the boundaries of the hole. Or even the golf course. If it was your house, shed and garage roof that the ball bounced between, sorry about that. However the consolation is that you now have a nice new Taylormade balata covered ball with just one hit on it! Assuming the ball is still there somewhere. I learnt that when for some reason you become instantly wide awake at 12:44am the attempted slap on the forehead from SWMBO for waking her because you've reached over for the laptop doesn't hurt nearly as much as the instant burning of the retinas from the insanely bright laptop screen when you open it.
I also learnt that farting in bed at 12:46am as a retaliation for an attempted forehead slap is NOT found as hilariously funny by SWMBO as it is by me.
